She’s been looking forward to just waking up and seeing things, and she can now do that for the rest of her life✨✨

📌If you have high myopia or astigmatism (-9 or higher) or a thin cornea that makes you ineligible for laser eye procedures like LASIK or LASEK, then ICL surgery, where a special lens is inserted to correct your vision, would be the best option for you.

📌For those with high or severe myopia, a substantial amount of corneal tissue removal is needed, which might compromise the remaining tissue and potentially lead to side effects like keratoconus (corneal thinning). That’s why ICL surgery is preferred, as it does not alter the natural shape or health of the cornea!

Previously, ICL surgery was performed on only one eye at a time after a thorough examination, which required patients to visit three days.

⭐However, we’ve been performing ICL surgery since 2002, which has enabled us to perform ICL surgery on both eyes at the same time, based on extensive clinical experience and accumulated know-how!

▶ Traditionally, ICL surgery required an iridotomy (a surgical incision into the iris) to facilitate aqueous flow around the lens and prevent pupillary block complications, such as increased intraocular pressure leading to glaucoma.

Currently, patients can opt for ICL surgery without needing an iridotomy, thanks to the latest lens called Evo Visian. This lens has been demonstrated to reduce the chances of post-surgical complications while achieving visual outcomes comparable to conventional ICLs. Not having to perform an iridotomy is one of the main advantages of modern ICL surgery.✨
