Overvaluation of Weight and Shape
It's a really demoralising, depressing and overwhelming belief to have, because pretty much from the moment you wake to the moment you go to bed your thoughts are filled with your body image and how you can change it, of course usually leading to an over preoccupation with food in the process. 😥
Overvaluation of weight and shape means there isn't too much else in your life you value, and putting all your emphasis on any one thing alone is a risk because if it's not going the way you want of course you are going to feel like you are a failure. 🚩🚩🚩
The problem is that when we feel like we've failed quite often we can reach for food to comfort us, and so the vicious cycle continues.
That doesn't mean you shouldn't care what you look like, of course you can and should (if you want!), but it's about finding a balance so that you don't let it consume you and your life. 😀
