ໃນວັນທີ 4 ສິງຫາ 2023, ສູນໂພຊະນາການ ໄດ້ລົງຢ້ຽມຢາມ ໂຮງງານຕັດຫຍິບ ອານປີ ແລະ ບໍລິສັດ ເອດີຊີ ພັດທະນາການປາມົງ, ກໍາແພງນະຄອນວຽງຈັນ ເພື່ອສະເຫຼີມສະຫຼອງ ສັບປະດາສາກົນການລ້ຽງລູກດ້ວຍນົມແມ່.
ກິດຈະກໍາດັ່ງກ່າວ ມີຜູ້ເຂົ້າຮ່ວມຫຼາຍກ່ວາ 220 ຄົນ ໂດຍມີ ພະນັກງານກໍາມະກອນຍິງ 200 ຄົນ ຂອງໂຮງງານຕັດຫຍິບ ໄດ້ເຂົ້າຮ່ວມຮັບຟັງ ການເຜີຍແຜ່ໃຫ້ຄວາມຮູ້ ກ່ຽວກັບ ການຊ່ວຍຊູການລ້ຽງລູກດ້ວຍນົມແມ່ ແລະ ການເລືອກບໍລິໂພກ ອາຫານທີ່ມີຄວາມຫຼາກຫຼາຍ ເພື່ອໂພຊະນາການທີ່ດີ. ການເຜີຍແຜ່ຄວາມຮູ້ ແມ່ນເພື່ອ ປະກອບສ່ວນສ້າງເງື່ອນໄຂ ໃຫ້ເກີດການປະຕິບັດເພື່ອສຸຂະພາບ ແລະ ໂພຊະນາການທີ່ດີ ຂອງຕົນ ແລະ ລູກຫຼານ. ເຄືອຂ່າຍພາກທຸລະກິດ ເພື່ອສົ່ງເສີມໂພຊະນາການ ໄດ້ສືບຕໍ່ຊ່ວຍປະສານງານກັບພາກທຸລະກິດ ເພື່ອຕໍ່ຍອດການສະໜັບສະໜູນທີ່ຜ່ານມາ ຜ່ານແຜນງານສົ່ງເສີມໂພຊະນາການໃນບ່ອນເຮັດວຽກ.
ຂໍສະແດງຄວາມຂອບໃຈເປັນຢ່າງສູງ ມາຍັງສູນໂພຊະນາການ ທີ່ເປັນເຈົ້າການຈັດຕັ້ງ ແຜນງານສົ່ງເສີມໂພຊະນາການໃນບ່ອນເຮັດວຽກ ເພື່ອປະກອບສ່ວນແກ້ໄຂບັນຫາການຂາດໂພຊະນາການ ໃນ ສປປ ລາວ. ຂໍສະແດງຄວາມຮູ້ບຸນຄຸນ ມາຍັງບໍລິສັດ ອານປີລາວ ອິນເຕີເນຊັນແນລ໌ ແລະ ບໍລິສັດ ເອດີຊີ ພັດທະນາການປາມົງ ທີ່ຮ່ວມຈັດກິດຈະກໍາ ແລະ ຈະສືບຕໍ່ໃຫ້ຄວາມຮ່ວມມື ໃນການສົ່ງເສີມ ແຜນງານສົ່ງເສີມໂພຊະນາການດັ່ງກ່າວ.
On 4th August 2023, the Nutrition Center marked World Breastfeeding Week by visiting ALPI Garment Factory and Aquatic Development Company (ADC) in Vientiane Capital.

Over 220 participants, including 200 female workers, engaged in a session focusing on breastfeeding support and diverse nutrition choices. It aims to encourage better nutrition practices for both participants and their children. The visits were organized by SUN Business Network and complemented earlier support through the Workforce Nutrition Programme (WNP).

SUN Business Network (SBN) has the honor of participating in the 8th National Nutrition Forum on 21 February 2023 at the National Conventional Center, which highlighted contributions of the nutrition network in Lao PDR including private sector.

“I am proud that the private sector has been increasingly recognized by the public sector as a key contributor to both social and economic development with its extensive expertise that can provide solutions for improved nutrition,” Chansoda Luangkhot, Production and Sales Manager of Mai Savanh Lao Co., Ltd said during the forum.

Mai Savanh, an organic crop production business, is one of the role model businesses which produce high nutritional value foods and help build a nutritious environment for over 2,000 families in Sekong Province through a social project for more than 15 years. Mai Savanh is also planning to produce a Ready-to-Use Supplementary Food (RUSF) to help prevent and treat moderate and severe acute malnutrition. RUSF will be fortified with necessary high vitamin and mineral contents.

SBN would like to thank Mai Savanh and other businesses for providing high-quality nutrition products and for their continued contributions. We look forward to maintaining further collaboration to end malnutrition in Lao PDR.

Workforce Nutrition Programme (WNP) helps to promote healthy and safe food consumption and promote nutrition in workplaces. WNP is aligned with the sub-program on nutrition of the 9th Health Sector Development Plan (2021-2025).

On 22 December 2022, Be-Cooperate Export Co., Ltd., hosted an event to introduce the WNP, focused on promoting the consumption of a healthy diet and regular and safe breastfeeding among its garment workers, who are predominantly women. The WNP builds on existing supports in the factory, including flexible working hours for pregnant and lactating women and provision of a healthy lunch subsidy. The event was delivered by the Nutrition Center with support from World Food Programme (WFP), in cooperation with the Association of Lao Garment Industry (ALGI). There were 33 participants including 31 female garment workers.

The SUN Business supports the WNP to help strengthen the public-private linkage/partnership to promote the national program on nutrition and healthcare at workplaces.

Diep Vu Co., Ltd., has committed to fostering nutritional practices in the workplace to enhance the productivity and health of employees. On November 3rd, 2022, they hosted a training to promote the Workforce Nutrition Program (WNP) at their Factory 2, in Thamuang, Hadxaifong. The session was delivered by the Nutrition Center with support from World Food Programme (WFP) as the convener of the SUN Business Network, bringing together 30 participants, mostly female staff. This partnership aims to help the workers understand and cultivate healthy behaviours on nutrition, health and well-being by building on existing support from the factory, such as flexible working time and paid leave for pregnant and lactating women and healthy food subsidies.
