Growth in the East Asia and Pacific (EAP) region is slowing in 2026 due to external shocks.

Industrial policy is increasingly viewed by policymakers as a tool to open new development pathways. Tune in for a discussion of a proposed approach to industrial policy.

Today's event will be opened by World Bank Group EAP Vice President Carlos Felipe Jaramillo followed by a presentation of the key findings of the report by Aaditya Mattoo, Director of the Development Economic Research Group of the World Bank.
