My name is
Anura Perera, and I'm a male yoga teacher based in Kahathuduwa, Colombo, Sri
Lanka. I've been practicing yoga for over two decades and have been teaching
professionally for the past 7+ years. In 2016,

I completed an Advanced 3-month Yoga Teacher Training program in Colombo, Sri
Lanka, in collaboration with Burhan Maharashtra yoga parisad India, a state
yoga association. During this training, I deepened my understanding of
postures, breathing techniques, spiritual elements ,feel calm and how to feel relaxed. As a teacher, I'm responsible for guiding my students through the practice, offering modifications and adjustments as needed, and helping them to deepen their understanding of the practice both physically and spiritually. One of the
things that sets me apart as a yoga teacher is my ability to connect with my
students and create a safe, welcoming environment for them to practice with me. I
believe that yoga is a deeply personal practice, and I strive to adapt my
teaching to the individual needs and abilities of each student. When I'm not
practicing or teaching yoga, you can find me pursuing my passion for this
ancient practice through further study and self-practice. I'm excited
to share my expertise and passion for yoga with others through yogalivelong1.blogspot.com. and look forward to

Today's yoga asana Pigeon pose ,Eka pada raja kapotasana with Nayanathara.
As you know this pose is great hip opening position, it's soften thighs and hip area and release. Also she adding her energy and calmness to the asana skillfully.
Yoga remind us that true beauty begins from our inner soul.

Today, I had the joy of witnessing "Sandiya", one of our newest practitioners, step into the serene rhythm of Chandra Namaskar, the Moon Salutation. As twilight embraced us, their quiet courage lit up the practice space.

Chandra Namaskar isn’t just about movement; it’s a gentle unfolding of inner calm, grace, and connection with the cooling lunar energy. And tonight, a new journey began under that quiet glow.

Little yogi "Dinuka" moving to chakrasana.
Chakrasana, Wheel Pose,Urdhva Dhanurasana, is a challenging backbend in yoga that requires flexibility, strength, in arms and spine.

Chakrasana can peroform both
If you are a beginner, Need proper guiding with teacher and start doing Sethubhandasana and need pratice related asanas to improve, Strength motion range and flexibility. and gradually let improve to the full pose.
Always warm up properly.
It's important to listen to your body
Do not push yourself beyond your limits.
Biginer Should follow below to lie down method to perform this asana and steps are as below.
Preparation:
Lie on your back
Keep your knees bent and feet flat on the floor, hip-width apart. Place your hands flat on the floor next to your ears, fingers pointing towards your shoulders
Lift your hips slowly and steady.
Inhale and press your palms and feet same time to lift your hips. Keep your elbows close to your sides.
Continue lifting your hips until your body forms wheel shape..
Hold few seconds

Release: Exhale and slowly lower your hips back to the floor.

Benefits of Chakrasana:

Improves spinal flexibility and strength
Stretches the chest, shoulders, and hip
Strengthens the back muscles
Improves posture
Stimulates the abdominal organs
Calms the mind and reduces stress
Precautions:
Avoid this pose if you have high blood pressure, heart problems, or any back injuries.
Always warm up properly before practice.
