According to the ancient chronicle Mahavamsa, the Mulkirigala Vihara was constructed by King Saddhatissa in the third century.[4] After that the temple received royal patronage by numerous successive kings. During the 461-479 AD time period a Stupa was added to the temple by King Datusena and it was further developed by King Kirti Sri Rajasinghe (1747–1782).[5] (copied from Wikipedia)

As a researcher it’s a pleasure to listen to new perspectives of problems Sri Lanka is experiencing in regard to issues of gender. Thanks UNFPA team for being the driving force to take decisions based on data

Experts from health, Department of Government Analyst, Victims and Witnesses Protection Authority, Department of Probation were there. CGSUK gives technical support for the project. This is conducted under JURE project of UNDP and the lead organization is Sri Lanka Police (NPA and Women and Children Abuse Investigation and Prevention range of Sri Lanka Police
