*Simple Ways to Care for Your Health Every Day.

Taking care of your health doesn’t have to be complicated. Start with the basics: eat a balanced diet filled with fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Keep your body moving with regular exercise; something as simple as a daily walk can make a big difference. Don’t forget to drink enough water; staying hydrated helps you think clearly, feel energized, and keep your body functioning well.

Rest is just as important. Make sure you’re getting enough quality sleep each night; your body and mind need time to recharge. And finally, take time to breathe. Life can be stressful, but finding ways to relax, whether through prayer, music, quiet time, or good company, can keep your mind and spirit healthy too. Your health is a gift; treat it with care!

Princess Dudu is a strong advocate for raising awareness about maintaining healthy blood pressure levels. She believes that many people are not aware of the risks associated with high blood pressure, and therefore, do not take necessary precautions to keep it under control.

Princess believes that a blood pressure campaign can be an effective way to educate the public about the importance of monitoring and managing blood pressure. She believes that such a campaign can also encourage people to adopt healthier lifestyle choices, such as regular exercise and a balanced diet, which can help prevent high blood pressure.

Princess is passionate about spreading this message and hopes that the campaign will make a positive impact on people's health and well-being.

Community Blood Pressure Campaign
Location: New Matadi, David Town Community
Date: October 26, 2024

✍️🎉📚
We are thrilled to announce the third and final outreach of the community blood pressure campaign that had a significant impact on the community's health. Through this outreach, we were able to educate community members on the importance of monitoring their blood pressure and taking steps to control it. We provided free blood pressure screenings and distributed informational materials on healthy lifestyle habits and resources for managing high blood pressure.

As a result of this outreach, we saw an increase in the number of community members seeking regular blood pressure check-ups and making changes to their diet and exercise habits. By making healthy health choices will led to a decrease in the number of individuals with uncontrolled high blood pressure, reducing their risk for heart disease, stroke, and other health issues.

Furthermore, this outreach helped to strengthen the community by bringing people together and promoting a sense of unity and support for one another's health. By working together to improve their collective health, the community has become more resilient and empowered to make positive changes.

Overall, the third and final outreach of the community blood pressure campaign has had a lasting impact on the community's health and well-being. We are grateful for the support and participation of community members and look forward to continuing our efforts to promote better health for all.

MOH, USAID to Launch Local Health Solutions Activity in Liberia

(Monrovia, October 16, 2024)—The Government of Liberia through the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) will officially launch the Local Health Solutions (LHS) Activity tomorrow, October 17, 2024, at the Ministry of Health in Congo Town.
The LHS activity is a five-year initiative aimed at strengthening Liberia’s health system.

Dr. Louise M. Kpoto, Minister of Health, and US Ambassador accredited near Monrovia, Mark Toner, are expected to preside over the event.

The LHS Activity is designed to improve the delivery of affordable, equitable, and high-quality health care services by fostering local leadership and supporting local organizations to take the lead in health systems strengthening.

USAID, in partnership with Management Sciences for Health (MSH), will work across all 15 counties in Liberia. MSH will serve as the lead implementing partner working with four local technical assistants and implementing partners—all of which are women-led. These partners include Africabio, Community Health Initiative (CHI), Medical Emergency and Relief Cooperative International (MERCI), and Public Health Initiative Liberia (PHIL).

However, the Ministry of Health remains committed to improving the health and well-being of all Liberian citizens and residents. Through comprehensive policies and strategic initiatives, the Ministry continues to strive for accessible, affordable, and high-quality healthcare services throughout the country.
