Safe Roads are Human Rights; Driving Is a Privilege.
This page is dedicated to the memory of Jemal, an 8 year‑old boy whose life was tragically cut short while simply walking a sidewalk to get water for his mom.
Jamel was struck by an untrained motorcycle driver who fled without facing justice. Despite fighting for days, Jamel did not survive his injuries.
The Jemal Safe Ways to School Program promotes (Teenager Rights) was created to honor his legacy and to ensure that no child, no pedestrian, and no family has to endure the same injustice.
We believe that every child deserves safe return home, and that driving is not a right but a privilege, one that carries responsibility, accountability, and respect for human life.
Through advocacy, education, and community action, we carry Jamel’s story forward as a call to protect children, empower teenagers, and demand safer roads for all.
