Subject: Successful Conclusion of Business Activities in Kakata

I am excited to share the successful conclusion of the two-day business activities recently held in Kakata, which included a business seminar and an agro-products exhibition.

**Event Overview:**

1. **Business Seminar:**
The seminar, held yesterday, brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including farmers, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), microfinance institutions, local government officials, and partner organizations. The primary focus was to foster collaboration and strengthen the food system in Margibi County.

2. **Agro Products Exhibition:**
Following the seminar was the agro-products exhibition, which provided an excellent platform for farmers and processors to showcase their innovations. This event not only inspired our community but also highlighted our potential for achieving food self-sufficiency through local collaboration.

**Key Highlights:**

- **Cultural Performances:** The exhibition featured live cultural performances, enhancing the overall experience and showcasing our rich heritage.
- **Networking Opportunities:** Participants had ample opportunities to network, share ideas, and explore potential partnerships.
- **Media Coverage:** The events received media coverage, which helped raise awareness about our efforts to strengthen the agricultural sector in Margibi County.

**Participant Feedback:**
The feedback from participants has been overwhelmingly positive. Many expressed a desire for similar agricultural activities to be organized on a quarterly or biannual basis, reflecting the eagerness for continued engagement and collaboration.

**Acknowledgments:**
A heartfelt thank you to WHH for their generous sponsorship through Project 1100. Your support was instrumental in making these events a success.

In conclusion, the activities not only provided valuable insights and networking opportunities but also left participants inspired and motivated to collaborate for a more resilient food system in Margibi County.

We have conducted our first experiment with the waste water from the cassava for ethanol production. Although the outcome was not very successfully but we are striving for further methods to improve it. If successful, we will be the first in the country to produce ethanol from waste cassava water. This is in commitment to our zero waste strategy.
Currently, we already have a market for our cassava peels which is selling very well.
