Closing Announcement -

Time is all we really have, and we only have so much of it... Over the last 12 months, the trust you and our community have placed in me as both a resource and practitioner has increased, and I have felt sincerely blessed by that fact. A side effect of this blessing has been the increasing need to use precious time to ensure I provide the best care I can. As many of you know, I am also both a teacher at UF and a father to a 10 month old baby girl and 11 year old teen-waiting to happen. These responsibilities, too, have required ever increasing amounts of time. Having reflected deeply, I simply do not possess the time needed for all of these endeavors to be successful. I have been failing. Knowing my primary responsibility is to my family, it is with mixed emotions that I am announcing that AthletePRX will officially close on February 1st, 2020.

I cannot express enough the gratitude I have for the faith you placed in me. I can only simply say thank you.

Have a stiff and painful joint? Does it spasm up as you try to move it? Consider using a mirror to help trick the brain with this technique used for treatment in phantom limb and chronic regional pain syndrome! .

Cortisone shots simply mask the problem. Now, just like the elbow and shoulder, we know they create more problems than they “solve”. General exercise and learning about your muscle imbalances and weaknesses are way better “treatments” to address the root problem!
