We are so proud of our Resident Council here at Bridgewater Park Health & Rehabilitation! 🌟
Throughout the year, our residents spend countless hours fundraising, and through their efforts they’re able to give back to the community they love — Marion County. 💙
This year, one of the charities chosen was Interfaith Emergency Services, and we had the honor of welcoming CEO Karla Greenway to Bridgewater Park to present a donation in support of their mission.
Interfaith Emergency Services provides food, shelter, medical care, and hope to families in need right here in Marion County.
Being in long-term care doesn’t mean you stop doing what you love — it means continuing to help others, finding purpose, and making a difference every day. ❤️

Today, our memory care unit was treated to a very special visit from Bella & Ruby, the sweetest therapy poodles around! These two talented pups put on a little trick show that had everyone smiling, clapping, and laughing. Their wagging tails and gentle cuddles filled the room with so much joy.
Thank you, Bella & Ruby, for brightening our day—you truly have hearts (and paws) of gold!

Our Veterans Club shared a truly moving day this week as we welcomed guests from the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution).
They honored our Vietnam Veterans, Johnnie & Kip, with recognition awards for their service to our country. In a very special moment, Kip was also presented with a Quilt of Valor—a symbol of comfort, gratitude, and respect for his sacrifices. We are so proud of our heroes and thankful to the DAR for helping us celebrate them in such a meaningful way.

Pedal with a Purpose – A Ride to End Alzheimer’s is almost here. Sunday, September 7th, 2025 at the Santos Trailhead our community will come together to ride, volunteer, sponsor, and support the fight against Alzheimer’s.

There is still time to get involved. We are looking for additional raffle gift baskets and a coffee sponsor. Volunteers and supporters are also welcome to join us on ride day.

If you can’t attend but still want to make an impact, donations can be made by scanning the QR code on the flyer. Every contribution helps bring us closer to a cure.

This is more than just a ride. It’s a movement of hope, strength, and community. Together, we ride for a cure.

Our residents had a blast on our bus trip to The Train Station in downtown Inverness, where we tried our hand at duckpin bowling—lots of laughs and maybe even a few strikes! After working up an appetite, we enjoyed a delicious lunch at Stumpknockers. Great food, great friends, and a great day out!

☀️ Fun summer vibes at Blessed Trinity Elder Daycare! On Monday, Bridgewater Park’s Community Relations Director, Kim Muse, had such a wonderful time enjoying a couple special summertime activities with our amazing seniors – including a purrfectly fun cat craft and a few sweet rounds of Watermelon Bingo! Their smiles and laughter truly made the day shine! 💛

A big thank you to Allyson Young from Ocala Oaks Rehabilitation Center for joining us and making the day even more special. 🌸 We love when our community comes together to celebrate joy, friendship, and connection. 💕

Last Thursday’s family cookout at Bridgewater Park Assisted Living was truly a day to remember. Surrounded by loved ones, we enjoyed good food, good times, and the joyful sounds of great music by Roger M. The smiles, laughter, and warm connections made the day so special.
