Date : Sunday June 21st 2020
Location : Online The Ambassador of India, the Luxembourg Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Mayor of the City of Luxembourg are actively supporting this Day. In
cooperation with all the yoga schools in Luxembourg, the Fédération Nationale des Ecoles Luxembourgeoises de Yoga (FNELY) proposes the following activities, free of charge and accessible to all. No previous knowledge is necessary. The day will begin at 09.00 with a common session, which will be similar throughout the world, consisting of poses, meditation and an Indian prayer. This session will last 15 minutes. This will be followed by 25-minute workshops, starting at 09.30, 10.00 and 12.30, offering various types of yoga, in different languages (French, English and Luxembourgish). There will also be two workshops of 50 minutes for those who want a comprehensive workout. A yogathon is planned, with 108 sun salutations. Open to everyone, this will be a single session from 10.30 to 12.30. It will be possible to join in for part of the time, sharing the effort either as a team or as a family, and children will be welcome. Here, too, you will learn by taking part. Seated classes on chairs will also be offered for those who are unable to sit on the ground. The teachers will be dressed in white. If you wish to take part, come in comfortable clothes in which you can move easily, and bring a yoga mat or a bath-towel. We will exercise on the grass, sitting, lying or standing. Our Indian friends living in Luxembourg will take care of the culinary aspects and will organise stands offering Indian food and handicrafts. These stands will be located in the amphitheatre
