- Dr. Zane Vitina, can you tell us a bit about your background and how you came to be the CEO of Clinic EGV?
- I have been working in Clinic EGV since 2002 and here I have grown as a reproductologist. When the Clinic changed owners, my colleagues recommended me as the potential CEO. Apart from my daily work, I have always engaged into various activities with great enthusiasm – research, current events of the industry both in Latvia and abroad, organised various formal and informal events for the colleagues who truly appreciated it. Alongside this job I have had also other workplaces – Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital, Ādažu Hospital, Aiwa clinic, but with the number of patients increasing I understood that I am mostly interested in the job in reproductology. I came to the conclusion – if I feel so good in the Clinic EGV, then I have to provide my contribution here, in the place where both patients and colleagues need me the most, where people trust and appreciate me. During those years Clinic EGV has become the first choice clinic in the treatment of infertility issues in Latvia. I am proud of the recognition we received last year from the Employer’s Confederation of Latvia – Best Employer in the Health Care sector! Our patients are the ones feeling our team spirit the most – as all of us work with the greatest motivation and such dedication forms the base for excellent results.
