I vividly remember attending the Basic Facial Plastic Course during my ENT-HNS residency—bright-eyed, keen, and perceptive in navigating my formative years as a trainee. Fast forward to today: I’ve returned to that same course, no longer as a participant, but as a podium lecturer and workshop facilitator.

As the first PAFPRS activity of the year and my first event since returning from my international rotation, it was a true joy to reconnect with my mentors and colleagues. Thank you and huge congratulations to Manila Doctor’s Hospital ORL-HNS for such a well-attended and successful event!

It was my first time to speak on a European stage — at the largest gathering of facial plastic and reconstructive surgeons from all over the world — during the EAFPS Annual Meeting in Dublin.

As the first and only Filipino delegate in attendance, it was an incredibly meaningful moment to present my fellowship paper from my time at UP-PGH.

Beyond the science, it was also a proud opportunity to share a piece of the Philippines — its people, its stories, and its beauty — despite and in spite of the political turmoil we face back home. 🇵🇭
