❌Emotional eating isn’t about your willpower, it’s your body trying to soothe an emotion. The good news? With the right strategies, you can take back control and feel at peace with food again. 💫
➡️But first, you have to be willing to meet yourself with grace right where you are in order to effect change
😨You have to get super honest with yourself if you really are hungry or wanna use food to numb an unpleasant emotion (we all have them, hello 👋🏻)
Then redirect to something else that can help regulate your emotions:
- Write down how you feel
- Take a short walk or
- Do a short breathing exercise
Also make sure that your fridge/pantry is set up for your success
- Stock up on nourishing foods
- Don’t keep trigger foods on hand
- Practice self care all day
