I love when kids have a sense of humor at a young age!
This was a fun river stop. Ended with leeches. Lol. Tried to get a picture of the kids at the end. Couldn't stop laughing at the Pic.

šŸ’Ŗ Farmer’s Carry… prank šŸ˜‚

I was playing a prank on Jason —
carrying two heavy bags like I was training for the CrossFit Games šŸ˜…
(It wasn’t that much weight... but I fooled him?!)

Here’s the thing I’ve learned:

šŸ‘‰ Being able to carry stuff —
groceries, toddlers, sports gear, Costco hauls —
is a legit sign of functional health.

It’s called a Farmer’s Carry,
and the goal is to work up to carrying about half your bodyweight in each hand.
(That’s what strength coaches recommend for longevity & everyday function.)

Not to be dramatic…
but being able to haul your own stuff matters.
To your confidence.
To your independence.
To your energy.

And yes — to your ability to pull off ridiculous wife pranks. šŸ˜‚

So if you’ve been lifting a lot (emotionally) lately,
maybe it’s time to build some physical strength too.

Start small.
Add 5s to your walks.
Use those grocery bags as training gear.
Build the habit.
Get strong for the life you’re living. šŸ’„

—

Want help getting started with simple, everyday strength?
I coach women just like you.
Moms, wives, real-life superheroes šŸ’›
You don’t have to do it alone.

Drop a šŸ’Ŗ if you’re ready to carry more — in every sense of the word.

One of the things I love most about coaching is getting to meet people who really care about showing up in alignment with what matters most—
Not pushing some agenda,
But just serving others while growing themselves.

This journey is so much more than helping people with their health (even though that part’s amazing).
It’s been one of the biggest personal growth tools in my life.

If I’m honest—
I don’t think I’d be where I am with my health today if I wasn’t coaching.
Left to my own devices, I’d fall off track more than I’d like to admit.

But because I coach…
I stay accountable.
I stay plugged in.
I’m surrounded by people who are working on themselves, and that rubs off in the best ways.

Like, we have optional Zoom working sessions almost every day.
I usually jump into one early in the morning and get most of my work done before 7am.
It’s such a gift to have that structure and support—without pressure.

I’m just really grateful.
For this community.
For how it helps me stay aligned.
And for what it’s done in my life.

If coaching is something you’ve ever kind of wondered about…
You don’t have to commit.
But you can explore.
And you might just find what you didn’t know you were looking for.

It might seem insignificant to someone else…
But today felt like a big hug from Heaven šŸ’›

I almost bought a $200 power washer from Costco this week...
But I waited...

This morning, I hit just one garage sale.
Not even planning on finding anything major.

Guess what was sitting there?
A power washer. $15. (Happy father's day Jason!)
😳

The guy wasn’t even sure if it worked.
I took a chance and brought it home.

Jason's at football, so I flagged down a neighbor and was like—
ā€œUhhh can you try starting this thing? I have no idea what I’m doing.ā€ šŸ˜…

He pulled the cord…
It worked.

I legit felt like crying.
It was just one of those small wins that didn’t feel small.
It felt personal.

But that’s not all…

This guy also had a stash of old art frames.
And if you know me, you know I’m obsessed with vintage gold frames šŸŽØšŸ–¼ļø

They’re usually $$$
But he sold me THREE of them—for $25 total.
What in the world.

I’ve been watching YouTubes on how to restore them and I’m just…
So excited.

Not because I needed these things.
But because I noticed the way God showed up for me today.

The little things matter.
And I’m learning to pause long enough to say:

šŸ™ Thank you.

šŸŽØ I’ve been hanging art in our new house lately…
and let me tell you, it’s my FAVE thing.
It’s like putting little pieces of my heart on the wall.

So I’m filming this little ā€œhow-toā€ on hanging a frame the right way.
šŸ‘‰ Measure up from the floor 57-60 inches (eye level)
šŸ‘‰ Find the center of the art
šŸ‘‰ Check the back for where the nail actually needs to go

I was feeling myself. Like... "I’m basically Joanna Gaines now. (But not really🤣)"

Then I second guessed myself.
šŸ¤” It didn’t look right.
So I moved it down.
Nailed it in.
Only to realize...
I hit a light switch šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø
And guess what?
I had it in the RIGHT place from the beginning.

All because I didn’t trust myself.

And here’s the thing…
How many times do we do this in LIFE?
We know.
We feel it.
But we don’t trust it.
So we move things around, try to ā€œfixā€ what wasn’t broken.
Only to learn the same lesson again.

šŸŒ€ Learning is a process.
Sometimes we’re brand new at something.
Sometimes we’re just in a new chapter of life,
and we have to re-learn old lessons with fresh eyes.

Not a failure.
Just part of it.

Keep learning.
Keep growing.
And trust that sometimes…
you actually do know what you're doing, and sometimes we grow šŸ’›

Not great pics but I have been having fun cleaning up my grandmother's furniture. I've never met her. I also wore her dress yesterday that she knitted.
This is a pic of my mom and grandmother.
My grandmother passed away from Lou Gehrig's disease when my mom was 10.
I get emotional with how much pain and sadness there was for my grandmother and my mom.
Their testimony of Jesus Christ is the greatest gift.

Jason's very first time seeing an NFL game! It was his favorite team too.
Crazy how many people came.
One thing we loved the most was the chanting from the crowd the entire way out of the stadium.
Check out my stories to get a snap of it.

Delayed Gratification.
How can you be mindful of delayed gratification when it comes to your health goals?

This is a value that's so important to me.
Getting whatever you want whenever you want does not create self discipline.
I think of my kids and how this would apply to spending money, improving in sports or getting better at a musical instrument.

So as I think of the value of delayed gratification, this totally applies to food too.
Just like it's good for our kids to wait for things.... same for us. It's important to recognize that GROWTH and REACHING GOALS takes time. When we focus on the progress and becoming... it's in the creation category. If we wanna be healthy, eating a cookie every day won't get us there. So it's not the cookie that's good or bad, but how does it serve us? If we have it too frequently, we also don't enjoy it in the same way.

We went fishing today, to honor our dad. Caught lots of fish and took it to the restaurant too cook it. It was such a fun memory. ā¤ļø
