If you’re craving a delightful fusion of flavors, this Matcha Steamed Cake is a must-try! Perfectly light and subtly sweet. 🍵🍰
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon matcha powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
Directions:
1. Start by whisking together the flour, sugar, matcha powder, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl. It’s best to combine these dry ingredients well to ensure even flavor throughout.
2. In another bowl, mix together the milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and eggs. Whisk until combined.
3. Gently fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just mixed – a little lumpiness is totally fine!
4. Pour the lovely green batter into a steaming dish, spreading it out so it's evenly distributed.
5. Steam over boiling water for about 15-20 minutes. You’ll know it’s done when a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
