Because Ayurveda emphasizes balance in all areas of your life, a trained practitioner will not only examine your body, but will take an extensive personal and medical history, including questions about daily diet, profession and working conditions, exercise routines, relationships, and mental health. This thorough intake process helps the practitioner identify key symptoms and potential causes of

imbalance and determine suitable treatment options. What is the initial examination? Ayurvedic examinations generally consist of three parts:

practitioner checking pulse Observation (Darshan): The practitioner first evaluates general physical health by looking at the patient and observing his/her movements, body contour, color of the skin and eyes, facial lines and ridges, shape of the nose, and qualities of the lips, hair, and nails. Touch (Sparsha): The practitioner then employs touch, including palpation (pressing down on parts of the body, called sparshanam in Ayurveda), auscultation, which is listening for sounds made by the internal organs (shrvanaa), and percussion or tapping (akotana). There is special focus on the patient's pulse, tongue, nails, and speech. Laboratory testing is also included under this category. Questions (Prashna): The practitioner asks the patient about complaints and symptoms, as well as the duration of discomfort and disease progression. The practitioner also inquires about mental and psychological conditions.

Ayurveda is a major healing mechanism for myself and all humanity, words cannot describe the gift of Ayurveda. You must endure the process of Ayurveda and what it can really do in each individual. This is why I will not bore you with so much information on my page here, instead I would like to invite you to one of my yoga retreats in Montenegro and of course United States of America. Review my corporate yoga and my yoga retreats, if you attend these sessions you will get a chance to experience the depth of Ayurveda and what the Science behind it has to offer. Soaked Massages using Ayurvedic herbal oils, Sunrise and Sunset Yoga Meditation, Ayurvedic cuisines and herbal teas. Breathing exercises play a key role in our overall health. Are you tightening your belly as you read this now? See, we don’t realize how we hold all of our anger and emotions in our stomach and we forget to properly breath to allow “Prana” which means “energy” we must remember to allow life to flow through our bodies so that we can have movement inside of our veins to allow our vitals to work and heal our internal organs, ‘yama” is the control. The full word is called “Pranayama”. When you complete your Ayurvedic Consultation we will create a customized healthy food plan and use healthy grains, legumes, herbal teas and soups dishes or even fasting. A daily physical plan may be encouraged which may include yoga, meditation. Your health history will help with my choice of recommended therapies which may include massages, chiropractic care, infrared red heat, acupuncture, water therapy and Ayurvedic Enemas also called “Basti” in Indian sanskirt.
