Headstand Workshop • Animesh

Headstand opens a fascinating angle for us to look at the world and ourselves. When we first come to this asana, we have curiosity to know more about it, so we rush in forming the shape that headstand looks like. But as time goes , we will slow down to feel the calmness it brings. Last month Animesh guided students to explore the headstand and its variations with good alignment. At the end, students concluded five key points of achieving headstand from the workshop, which is energetic, controlled, focused, breath and safe.
May you have a deeper meaning of the headstand within yourself when you accustom to this asana. Thank you for students trusting us and having a safe and enjoyable headstand practice together. Namaste!

在博爾赫斯的回憶下，布宜諾斯艾利斯是恬淡、壯麗的，這座城市的每一處都充滿着他的愛與激情。「時近黃昏 /庭院裏的兩三種色彩失去了分明 /今天晚上，那晶瑩的圓月 /沒有升入屬於自己的蒼穹 /庭院圈起了一片天空 /那庭院變成為甬道 /將天空導入居室之中 /永恆 /沉默地潛伏於密佈的繁星 」。

Imaginary Season | 9th Anniversary Promotion Extend to 28 August 2025
On August 8th , we will celebrate the 9th Anniversary of Yoga Light. In this year, we would like to continue to use the same theme- Imaginary Season as our promotion for the reason that we are rekindled the fervor of our ordinary life by the first collection of poetry Fervor de Buenos Aires by an Argentinian poet Jorge Luis Borges. As the outer world is a reflection of the inner world, when we believe beauty is everywhere, we will find the poetic and philosophical meaning even in the most impoverished life.

In Borges’s recollection, Buenos Aires is a tranquil and magnificent city. Under his concise language to capture the essence of everyday life, the atmosphere of the city is filled with his love and passion .

At evening
they grow weary, the patio’s two or three colours.
Tonight, the moon, bright circle,
fails to dominate space.
Patio, channel of sky.
The patio is the slope
down which sky flows into the house.
Serene,
eternity waits at the crossroad of stars.

We hope that you can be inspired by his poetry and express the tribute to life when you have leisure time of yoga. Kamar Marod asana is an advanced Standing Twisting Pose. It requires intense movement to incorporate our whole body , the spine is the center of twisting , the openness in our shoulders affect how easily we access in this twisting posture in yoga.
Let’s twist , but twist only to the extent that we feel a stretch , not a strain or pain.
