💥 April is National Stress Awareness Month 💥

Stress is something we all experience — it’s part of being human. But when stress becomes constant or overwhelming, it can deeply impact our mental, emotional, and even physical well-being.

As a Gestalt Psychotherapist and forensic psychology practitioner, I see how stress shows up in different forms — tension in the body, racing thoughts, irritability, or even complete shutdown. Often, what’s needed most is a safe space to pause, breathe, and reconnect with ourselves.

✨ This month is an invitation to:
🌀 Notice how stress shows up in your body and life
🌀 Name your stressors without judgment
🌀 Nurture yourself through grounding, movement, or connection

🎥 Adolescents is a powerful series that doesn’t just tell a story—it exposes the raw, often overlooked realities of youth struggling at the margins of society. It sheds light on the impulsivity, defiance, and search for identity that can lead young people into difficult situations.

What struck me most is how the series captures the systemic issues at play. It’s not just about bad choices—it’s about the environments that shape those choices. The lack of guidance, the need for belonging, and the survival instincts that kick in when support systems fail.

Early intervention, therapeutic support, and understanding can change trajectories. Rehabilitation isn’t about excusing behavior—it’s about addressing the why behind it and creating opportunities for real change.
