💬 “I love you” doesn’t always sound like those three little words.
Sometimes, it sounds like:
✨ “Get home safe.”
✨ “Have you eaten?”
✨ “Let me know you arrived.”
✨ “Take it easy today.”

These phrases are simple but they carry emotional depth. They represent a powerful truth: love often lives in the ordinary.

As a psychotherapist, I often witness how people overlook these small gestures, dismissing them as routine or insignificant. But in reality, they are micro-moments of care, and they’re the glue that holds relationships together.

So if someone checks if you’ve eaten, reminds you to rest, or gently nudges you to take care of yourself - pause and feel the warmth behind those words.

That’s love, speaking its quiet language🤍

🧠💬 This morning on Hekk Naħsiba Jien on Net FM hosted by Tano Vella together with Lorraine Sultana we explored the impact of living a fast life and constantly trying to live up to societal expectations.

We discussed how this lifestyle can leave us feeling overwhelmed, pressured and disconnected — often leading to anger, stress, anxiety, and burnout.

Some key reflections shared during the programme:
🧘‍♀️ Finding Me Time – the value of slowing down and reconnecting with yourself
💬 Communication Time – nurturing real conversations and emotional connection
📵 Digital-Free Time – taking intentional breaks from screens to regain focus
⚖️ Finding Balance – setting boundaries, saying no, and prioritising what truly matters

Thank you to everyone who tuned in. Let's keep the conversation going — in a world that pushes us to go faster, how can we choose to go gentler?

Caring for the Caregivers 💙

I recently had the pleasure of leading a session with over 40 amazing educators at Mosta Primary B (Maria Regina College) as part of their Continuous Professional Development.

The session was all about supporting mental health and wellbeing - because educators give so much of themselves every day, and it’s just as important that they feel supported and equipped to care for their own wellbeing too 💫

We talked about:
🌿 Recognising signs of stress and burnout
🧘 Mindfulness tools that are easy to use during the day
🧠 The power of a growth mindset
💡 Practical ways to manage stress and build resilience
🤝 How to support each other in the school community

It was a meaningful morning full of insights, personal reflections and connection. 💜

To all educators: you matter too 💐

Thank you Mosta Primary B for the warmth, engagement and genuine care you show daily. It was truly lovely spending the morning with you!

🚀 The Superbeing Myth: Thriving on Your Terms

Last week, I had the opportunity to speak with the incredible staff at ERA - Environment & Resources Authority about a topic that resonates with so many of us: The Superbeing Myth.

💡 Key Takeaways from the Session:

🔹 No one operates at 100% all the time — success is about working smarter, not just harder.
🔹 True resilience comes from small, daily habits that protect our energy, mindset and wellbeing.
🔹 Self-leadership starts with awareness, ownership and action — we can’t control everything, but we can control how we show up.
🔹 We’re stronger together — supporting each other is key to navigating challenges and thriving collectively.

We started off and also wrapped up with the Invisible Backpack reflection — what are we carrying every day and what can we choose to let go of? A simple but powerful reminder that thriving isn’t about carrying more, but carrying what truly serves us.

A huge thank you to the ERA - Environment & Resources Authority team for the invitation but mostly for the engagement, insights and reflections. Let’s continue shifting the focus from overworking to smart, intentional leadership — on our own terms. 💙

💙 Healthy Love, Always 💙
Love isn’t just about grand gestures - it’s about respect, trust, communication and self-worth. During the month of February - the month of love, I had the opportunity to discuss what makes relationships truly healthy and fulfilling on 103.7 Campus FM with Antonella.
Representing Listenin To You, we explored, the foundations of strong relationships, the importance of communication, the many myths of love, red flags vs green flags, how relationships evolve, the art of compromising and active listening and being present, and so much more.

💚 Prioritizing Educator Wellbeing 💚

Earlier this month I had the privilege of delivering a CPD training session on mental health and wellbeing for educators to a fantastic group of over 70 learning support educators, teachers, class assistants and admin staff.

We explored key stressors in education, recognizing burnout and discussing practical strategies to manage stress - because educators can’t pour from an empty cup. From mindfulness moments to time management strategies like the Eisenhower Matrix, we focused on real, actionable ways to nurture mental wellbeing while balancing the demands of an educational setting.

The discussions, reflections and shared experiences made it clear: when educators take care of themselves, everyone benefits —including students 💡

I’m excited to be delivering a follow-up session in April to continue this important conversation!

What’s one thing you do to take care of your mental wellbeing as an educator (or in any high-stress role)? Let’s share ideas and support each other! 👇💬

This thing called love...
It binds us. It warms us. It heals us. It inspires us. Sometimes it breaks us and at the same time makes us grow. It comes in a million and one forms - it can be romantic, familial, platonic, personal - you name it. All very worthy. All very important.
As we approach the season of love, I want to share some of it with you💌 I’m offering 24 of my followers one free 30-minute online motivational chat - one chat each day for 24 days starting from 1 February. All chats will be in the evening 🥰
Whether you need a little encouragement, a listening ear, or just a moment to reconnect with yourself, this is your chance to do it with love ❤️
Let’s nurture the love in our lives - within ourselves and with those around us. Message me to book your session!
Happy Month of Love! 🌸

An astronaut, millions of miles from Earth, is still connected to the most important home of all - their self.
No matter where you are in the universe - or in life - your first responsibility is to care for you 💙
Start small. Breathe deeply. Listen to your heart.
You are your own sanctuary.
Charity, love, care, respect - begins with YOU.

Healing isn't a destination; it's an ongoing journey. Life doesn't wait for us to be fully healed before we can live fully. Instead, embracing healing as a continuous process allows us to experience growth and transformation along the way. When we let go of the pressure to "fix" ourselves, we make room for authentic connections to blossom naturally, and we discover that life’s beauty unfolds through both our strengths and our vulnerabilities. Let’s walk this path together, one step at a time. 🌱💫
