What has our dance/movement therapist been up to this week? 👇

Meet Sarah Vella — our movement therapist here at Hale Body+Mind. Sarah is passionate about bringing embodied practices to different communities and settings, and this week was a beautiful reflection of just that.

In the last seven days, she facilitated a movement therapy workshop for staff at Malta International Airport as part of their Wellbeing Day, guest lectured at the University of Malta on movement-based practices in school settings, and co-facilitated a workshop for women navigating life transitions as part of the MatriArt project by Pam Abela — alongside the wonderful Caroline Tonna.

Alongside all of that, she continued seeing private clients here at Hale and led her regular group sessions with young people and adults through The Malta Trust Foundation

Movement as medicine — in boardrooms, lecture halls, community spaces, and beyond. 🌿

We’re welcoming Daniela Gravina, Systemic Family Therapist, to Hale – Body + Mind in Mġarr.

Daniela works with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, relationship difficulties, trauma, parenting stress, grief, and major life transitions.

Systemic Family Therapy looks at emotional struggles within the context of relationships. Instead of asking “What’s wrong with you?”, it explores patterns, communication, and the ways people connect, respond, and cope together.

Sessions offer a calm, compassionate, non-judgemental space to reflect, strengthen relationships, and find new ways of relating.

Sometimes words aren’t enough. We spend so much time trying to talk our way out of stress, but our bodies are still holding onto the story.

In this session, we didn’t analyze. We didn't explain. We just moved. Because you don’t have to explain everything to heal. You just have to show up for yourself. 🌿✨ We were honored to have led a mindful movement session as part of .mt, a beautiful community day in aid of YMCA Malta. There is something so healing about moving together, under the sun, for a cause that supports finding a sense of 'home' and belonging for everyone. ☀️🏠

Thank you to everyone who joined the circle and let their bodies speak.
