Stuttering is not something to be mocked and ridiculed, yet former President, Donald Trump, continues to do so. Stuttering also is not something that can be overcome if you just practice techniques hard enough, yet current President, Joe Biden, continues to suggest that it is. On both sides of the political spectrum, the pervasive ignorance is perpetuating the stigmatization of stuttering and causing irreparable harm. Education is the only way to overcome and trump the impact of ignorance. Join the Blank Center in ending the stigmatization of stuttering. Together, we will educate, and change the world.

On Swallowing Awareness Day we show our support to the community of people with dysphagia, which is a difficulty with eating, drinking and swallowing. Dysphagia can affect everyone - from newborns to older adults, and it can be caused by neurological conditions, stroke and brain injury, among others 🧠
