What an inspiring day at the 6th European Lifestyle Medicine Congress (ELMO) in Brussels, held in partnership with Practice Lifestyle Medicine (BELMO). It was wonderful to reconnect with colleagues, meet fellow authors, and exchange ideas with leaders shaping the future of lifestyle and preventive medicine.
A highlight for me was presenting new findings from the FLAME Project, where we investigate how lifestyle-driven changes in gut ecology influence metabolic resilience. My talk, โGut Dysbiosis as a Determinant of One-Carbon Metabolism Deficiency,โ shared emerging evidence on how disruptions in the microbiota can impair key metabolic pathways. The thoughtful discussion that followed underscored how essential this research is for developing targeted, lifestyle-based interventions.
Iโm left Brussels energized by the collaborative spirit and excited for the next steps in the FLAME Project as we continue to translate science into meaningful health impact.
The FLAME project results sparked the start of the Prevent CRC project. Follow this new project.
