Our pelvic floor, the womb, represents the center of all creation—the area of our body that ignites the embodiment of our authentic expression and our ability to flow with life.
Within the polarity framework, the knees hold the masculine (more rigid and structured) pole of the pelvic area. Let's delve into the anatomical and energetic connections between the knees and the pelvic floor.
Anatomically (Musculoskeletal System):Muscles and fascial connections link the knee and pelvic floor. Notably, the quadriceps, hamstrings, and adductors contribute to stability in both areas, facilitating hip movement. Proper alignment and function in one region can significantly impact the other.
Energetically: The energy flow through the Kidney meridian runs from the feet, passes through the knee, and is connected to the pelvic floor. The kidneys, as energy storers, support spinal stability, reproductive and metabolic health, and overall energy flow.
Neuronally (Nervous System): Nerves originating from the lumbar spine, connected to the pelvic region, extend to the legs, with the sciatic nerve being a common example.
In the Somatic Alignment Process, preparation exercises emphasize the importance of relaxing the knees. Often, the inability to trust and the need for control surface during sessions, leading clients to involuntarily tense their knees repeatedly. A complete energy-breath flow can't be ignited if the ego mind is asserting control, hindering our journey forward in the session, which becomes an analogy for life.
What areas of your life are you fully trying to control, or on the other hand, are you afraid to let go?
💥 Excited to be Sharing again the Somatic Alignment training with people in Germany, Latvia and US this first half of the year.
We are still hosting Healing sessions in Malta
Another training in Europe is being Cooked and it will be the first as a Retreat Style. Spending more time together and building the energy up within the group
