From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to every kind soul who took part in the Toys for Tots initiative. You helped to bring joy to the children at the Paediatrics Ward of the Gozo General Hospital.

Your generosity gave hope, smiles and a touch of Christmas magic to children who are spending the festive season away from home.

This initiative is about teaching our little ones the true meaning of Christmas. While receiving feels good, giving is truly magical. By involving your children in shopping, wrapping and giving, you helped plant seeds of kindness that will grow for years to come.

Thank you for your time, your effort, your love and for treating every gift as if it were for your own child. Together, you filled hospital rooms with excitement, warmth and Christmas spirit.

Today we mark World Diabetes Day — a reminder of the importance of awareness, early detection and continuous support for everyone living with diabetes. It is a day to stand together, educate, prevent and advocate for better health for all.

A heartfelt thank you to the Diabetes Team at Gozo General Hospital for your dedication and care.

Important note: Speak to your doctor if you have symptoms such as increase in thirst, frequent urination, loss of weight and lethargy. Early detection is of utmost importance.

Gozo General Hospital collaborated with Gozo College Agius De Soldanis Middle School through the EkoSkola programme managed by Nature Trust - FEE Malta and GLOBE Malta on an innovative initiative — a community garden in front of Residenza Sant Anna.

It is with great pleasure and honour that we announce that this project has been chosen as the best initiative by a school promoting a sustainable lifestyle and recognised with the Sustainable Development Action Award.

We have always believed in this project because we saw its potential — not only does it involve students and their parents, but also the elderly and the staff at Gozo General Hospital.
