Delighted to have contributed to conversations around World Health Day this week with Defimedia.info 🤍

In this interview, I share insights on everyday eating habits, common misconceptions, and simple ways we can better support our health - not only for prevention, but also in the management of health conditions and recovery.

A message I feel strongly about: Nutrition is not about restriction - it’s about nourishing the body in a way that supports health at every stage of life.

I’m also proud to represent the Dietitians Association (Mauritius) in continuing to raise awareness of the vital role dietitians play in supporting individuals, families, and communities.

Grateful to be part of these important conversations 🌿

✨ Something new is coming for parents of babies aged 4–12 months…

The transition from milk to meals is one of the most important stages in early development - yet it’s often reduced to a simple timeline or short list of “safe” foods.

Over the past few months, I’ve been developing a small, specialist-led programme that goes deeper - focusing on true developmental readiness, supportive positioning, iron needs, key nutrients, texture progression, allergen confidence and encouraging broad flavour and texture exposure to support long-term eating patterns.

Because starting solids is about more than the first food - it’s about developing feeding skills, discovering new flavours and nutrients, and building confidence.

More details soon 🧡

Some of the strongest women I know sit across from me every day.

The new mums learning to care for a tiny human while rediscovering themselves.
Women navigating hormones, chronic conditions, or recovery after illness.
Those facing cancer with courage.
Mothers grieving unimaginable loss.
Women simply doing their very best for themselves and their families.
Your strength may not always feel visible - but it is deeply real. Your resilience is powerful. And your stories inspire me more than you know.
Happy International Women's Day!

Here’s to nourishing women, supporting women, and helping each other flourish🩷

As a paediatric dietitian, one of the most common things I see is babies starting solids without enough focus on iron.

By around 6 months of age, a baby’s natural iron stores begin to decline. At that point, food isn’t just about tasting and playing, it’s about offering nourishment. Iron supports brain development, immunity, energy and growth.

In this short video, I explain that iron-rich first foods (such as meat, lentils and iron-fortified cereals) are important - and that gentle, repeated exposure matters when introducing vegetables. A “no” doesn’t mean never. It often just means “not yet.” It can take 10–15 exposures before acceptance. Keep offering calmly and consistently.

If you would like personalised guidance, feel free to get in touch. And for parents of babies 4-8 months… something new is coming soon 💛

✨ Honouring all the little fighters this World Prematurity Day

I feel incredibly privileged to walk alongside premature babies and their families, supporting slow-and-steady growth, tricky feeding journeys, and all the tender, hard-won progress in between.

Their courage, and the trust families place in me, is something I carry with deep gratitude. Celebrating every tiny milestone today! 💜✨

🌍 World Diabetes Day 2025 — “Diabetes and Well-being at Work”

Managing gestational diabetes (GDM) while working can be extra challenging - whether you spend your day in an office, clinic, classroom, or on your feet helping others.
Between meal breaks that slip away, packed schedules, and glucose checks that need planning, it takes preparation and self-kindness to stay on track.

Here are a few small things that can make a big difference:
🥗 Plan ahead — pack balanced meals and snacks with slow-release carbs, lean protein, and fibre to keep glucose steady.
💧 Stay hydrated — keep a water bottle nearby; even mild dehydration can affect blood sugar readings.
⏰ Set reminders — for regular meals, snacks, or glucose checks, especially on busy shifts.
🚶‍♀️ Move when you can — a few minutes of gentle walking or stretching after meals helps your body use glucose more effectively.
🫶 Seek support — talk with your manager or HR if small adjustments (like flexible breaks or fridge access) can help you manage better at work.

This , let’s remember that well-being at work matters; for mums-to-be, colleagues, and every team member balancing health and hustle. 💙
✨ Because when workplaces support well-being, everyone thrives.

Eat Smart, Play Hard, Think Sharp 🍏⚽🧠

Loved spending yesterday morning with the Year 9 students at Ecole du Centre - what an engaged, curious and thoughtful group!

We explored how the food we choose every day affects our energy, mood, focus, performance and long-term health - especially during the teenage years when the body and brain are growing at lightning speed 💡🌱

A big thank you to Susan and the Health & Sports team for the warm welcome, and to Yannick for the inspiring session on movement, performance training and recovery - our messages tied together beautifully.

Small habits can make a big difference 🤍
Nourish your body. Fuel your mind.
Eat smart, play hard, think sharp ✨
