He Landed on the 8th May 2016, apart from holding meetings with the President Ameenah Gurib-Fakim and the Prime Minister, Sir Anerood Jugnauth, Mr Ban Ki-Moon delivered the keynote address to the 2016 Conference of the International Council of Commercial Arbitration (ICCA).

He also had a meeting with stakeholders engaged in the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals - The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The UN Secretary-General visited the Aapravasi Ghat World Heritage Site, and Le Morne Cultural Landscape and UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Mr Ban Ki-moon was awarded a Degree of Doctor Honoris Causa by the University of Mauritius.

Mr Ban Ki-moon is the eighth Secretary-General of the UN. He took office on 1 January 2007 and on 21 June 2011, he was unanimously re-elected by the General Assembly.

During these years, his priorities have been to mobilise world leaders around a set of new global challenges, from climate change and economic upheaval to pandemics and increasing pressures involving food, energy and water.

Salim Toorabally, mauricien toujours à l'honneur en France apres avoir interdit l'acces au Stade de France à l'un des terroristes du vendredi 13 novembre...

Il a été décoré par le maire de St Denis la semaine dernière.

Salim Toorabally travaillait au Stade de France le soir des attentats. C’est lui qui a croisé l’un des terroristes à qui il a refusé l’entrée, sauvant sans doute la vie de milliers de personnes.

Nou-Diaspora sont membres de l'organisation de la Convention Internationale sur la Diaspora Mauricienne, du 2 au 4 Décembre au MGI. Voici les points participants de Nou Diaspora :

- 3 décembre : de 14h40 à 15h, Mr Anand Mulloo écrivain mauricien exposera sur le thème Diaspora et Développement.
- De 16h à 18h, se déroulera une table ronde avec pour thème Fenêtre sur l'avenir avec la Diaspora Mauricienne, dont participera Mr Dinesh Moonshiram, le Dr Karl Mootoosamy, Mr. Boopen Doobah, Mr Raj Makoond, le Dr Arjoon Suddhoo et Mr Gérard Manuel.
- 4 Décembre de 9h30 à 10h10, Mr Daniel Saramandif présentera l'exposé de Mr jacques René, avocat qui parlera des lois sur l'immigration.

Nou-Diaspora are members of the International Convention on the Mauritian Diaspora's organization, the December 2sd to 4th at MGI. Here participants points Nou Diaspora :

Yesterday we attended the press conference held for the International Conference on the Mauritian Diaspora, which will take place on 2nd, 3rd and 4th December at the Mahatma Gandhi Institute.

This conference is open to every Mauritians, inland and overseas, and we invite you all to join us !!

Hier, nous étions présents à la Conférence de Presse de la Conférence Internationale sur la Diaspora Mauricienne qui aura lieu les 2, 3 et 4 Décembre au Mahatma Gandhi Institute.

Un mauricien à l'honneur en France !! Salim Toorabally est agent de sécurité au Stade de France. Il était de service le vendredi 13 novembre dernier... Il sera décoré par le Maire de St Denis demain.

C'est lui qui a refusé l'entrée à l'un des terroriste qui s'est fait exploser. Sans lui, le nombre de morts lors de ses terribles attentats aurait pu être bien pire...
