Exploring the Frontiers of Interventional Radiology

Medtech Mauritius was pleased to collaborate with the Medical Update Group for the educational talk held on Wednesday, 11 June 2025, at the University of Mauritius.

Focused on “Current Applications of Interventional Radiology,” the session was delivered by Dr.Srikar Inuganti, European Board-certified Interventional Radiologist, and moderated by Dr. Chineah Ashley, MBBS, MMed (rad).

Organised in association with the Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Mauritius, the event brought together healthcare professionals for an engaging evening of knowledge exchange and clinical discourse.

Raising the Bar on Infection Control: Together, We Lead the Change ✨

Through our dedicated training institute, AMLC, We proudly hosted a vital training on Infection Prevention & Control, uniting healthcare professionals in a shared mission — to reinforce the importance of best practices in infection control and hand hygiene.

We were honoured to learn from Dr. Dooshanveer Nuckchady, Specialist in Internal Medicine & Infectious Diseases, whose insights highlighted the real-world consequences of infection control lapses.

And a heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Elaine Le Roux (BCur Nursing (UP)) for a wide-ranging, insightful session on strategies to reinforce infection prevention practices across healthcare settings.

Special thanks to our Product Lead IPC, Kovila Carpen Bhoojedhur, for her outstanding coordination and subject-matter leadership. Her commitment to elevating infection prevention standards continues to shape the way we support hospitals, clinics, and care teams.

🩺 Mastering the Difficult Airway: A Hands-On Learning Experience!

Our workshop on "Assessment and Management of the Difficult Airway" brought together healthcare professionals for an engaging session combining expert-led discussions and practical training on advanced airway management techniques using the Karl Storz C-MAC Video Laryngoscope. 💡.

From video laryngoscopy to fibreoptic intubation, participants had the opportunity to enhance their skills under the guidance of experienced specialists. These interactive sessions not only improve technical proficiency but also contribute to better patient outcomes.
