Tips while breaking your fast:
📌Do not drink excessive water at this stage as it may create temporary satiety/ reduce your appetite and prevent you from having your main meal. You may sip water from iftaar till you go to sleep (an estimate of 1.5 to 3L, this will vary individually)
📌If you tend to lose considerable body weight during Ramadan, make sure not to skimp on your protein requirements. With adequate carbs intake, this will prevent loss of muscular mass (both for sehri and dinner at night)
📌To prevent constipation: consume dietary fibre in the form of vegetables, salads, fruits and wholegrain cereals. Note: Since there is a reduced intake of food, the body naturally has reduced bulk to excrete. By having your regular dinner and more fibre, this process is facilitated
📌Replace the lost fluids with oral rehydration solutions (especially if you have dizziness, headache, fatigue)
📌It is normal that after a few days of fasting, the size of one’s stomach will reduce. Thus, the amount of food consumed will be less too. What’s important is to consume the key nutrients needed albeit in a smaller portions
📌While tarawih requires much energy, it is also recommended to keep active by engaging in light walks or jogging or moderate intensity strength training sessions (especially if you engage in it outside Ramadan). If you are exercising while fasting, it is preferable that you do so nearer to iftaar time.

Sehri Tips
📌Try your best not to miss sehri
📌Quality is more important than quantity of food. Overeating will lead to discomfort and inability to carry out daily tasks
📌The same rule applies for water, if you overdrink you will probably get rid of the excess through urine in the coming few hours. Take sips from the moment you wake up till Azaan
📌It is preferable to avoid caffeinated drinks (it is known as a diuretic, which will make you produce more urine). If ever you can’t do without your tea/coffee, try to consume a lighter version or reduce your consumption during Ramadan
📌The portions of each of the following food groups will vary individually and depend on one’s specific requirements and health conditions
