Health Screening Program 2025

Our School Health Screening Program 2025 commenced on Sunday in collaboration with
Eyecare Opticals and Farook HealthCare. This program targets all primary and secondary school students studying in Grades 1, 4, 7, 9, and 11. The first screening session was successfully conducted at Mohamed Jamaaludheen School, MJS.

The health screening program for school students is a mandatory initiative jointly implemented by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health.

Through this program, students undergo comprehensive health checks, allowing for the early detection of issues such as vision and hearing impairments, nutritional deficiencies, dental problems, and other medical conditions that may otherwise go unnoticed. Early identification and intervention help prevent these conditions from developing into more serious health concerns.

Health screening of school students plays a vital role in safeguarding the well-being of children and supporting their academic success. Schools provide an ideal platform to reach children at an early age, and regular health screening ensures that potential health problems are identified and addressed in a timely manner.

CT Machine testing and training is currently ongoing at Fuvahmulah Hospital as we prepare to introduce CT Scan services in Fuvahmulah City for the very first time.

This marks a significant step forward in strengthening healthcare services to our island, allowing patients to access advanced diagnostic imaging right here at home—without the need to travel outside the island.

We look forward to officially launching this service soon and bringing better care closer to our people.
