A historic step forward for cardiac care in the south.

From April 1–2, 2026, Addu Equatorial Hospital successfully carried out advanced, life-saving cardiac procedures for the first time outside Greater Malé including Primary PCI, ICD implantation, and Permanent Pacemaker insertion, in collaboration with the National Cardiac Centre.

This milestone brings critical care closer to our community, offering hope, accessibility, and a stronger future for Addu City and the region.

Memorable Moment of AEH

From April 1st to 2nd, 2026, Addu Equatorial Hospital marked a defining chapter in cardiac care for our region and Addu City.

For the first time outside Greater Malé, life-saving cardiac procedures including Primary PCI, ICD implantation, and Permanent Pacemaker insertion were successfully performed at AEH in collaboration with the National Cardiac Centre.

These milestones are more than medical achievements they represent hope, access, and a stronger future for our community.
