Strengthening Medical Practice in Malawi: Defining the Scope of Practice for Healthcare Workers
MDUM President, SMD General Secretary, and Publicity Secretary attended a crucial meeting organized by the Medical Council of Malawi, with funding from Seed Global Health. The agenda focused on developing the Scope of Practice for General Medical Practitioners and Other Cadres—a key step toward strengthening healthcare delivery in Malawi.
MDUM firmly believes that a well-defined scope of practice is essential for:

✅ Strengthening the Health System – Aligning medical practice with national health priorities and global standards.
