There was a time when I thought I was “The broken one". I was anxious, disconnected, constantly in survival mode. No matter how much I “worked on myself,” something inside me still felt unsafe.

What I didn’t know then was that my nervous system was running the show. My body was holding years of trauma, stress, and suppressed emotion. I was trying to think my way to healing when what I really needed was to feel my way back home.

Learning how to regulate my nervous system changed everything. It helped me find safety in my body, peace in my heart, and presence in my relationships. I stopped chasing healing and started living it.

Somatic movement helps heal trauma….not by thinking about it, but by feeling what your body has been holding onto for years.

Trauma isn’t only in your memories. It lives in your fascia, your posture, your breath, your muscles.

The way your body tightens, freezes, or collapses… all of it tells the story your words may not yet know how to speak.

When you move with presence and safety, your body begins to trust again.

Somatic movement becomes a sacred conversation between you and your nervous system and a way to release what once felt too much to bear.

You don’t have to analyze your trauma to heal it.

You simply have to listen, feel, and allow what’s ready to move through.

This is the medicine of embodiment.

This is how we come home to ourselves.

Your mind can move on, but your body never forgets.

Every moment you pushed down an emotion or ignored your pain, your nervous system held on for you.

It remembers through tight shoulders, a racing heart, or that gut feeling that something isn’t safe.

The body speaks through sensation. When we slow down enough to listen, it begins to tell the truth about what we still carry.

Healing is not about analyzing the past, it is about allowing the body to release what it has been holding.

Start with awareness. You have to feel it to heal it.

I used to think that when I was triggered, something was wrong with me. But what I’ve learned is that my body was simply remembering what my mind had tried to forget.

Our bodies hold everything. The heartbreaks, the disappointments, the moments when we felt unsafe, unseen, or unloved. All of it lives in the nervous system as energetic memories. So when something in the present moment feels intense or too familiar, it’s not always about what’s happening right now. It’s your body saying, “Hey, this feels like before.”

The nervous system doesn’t tell time. It just remembers.

💡 Awareness Key: Your trigger is not the problem. It’s your body asking for your attention, your breath, your love.

🧘🏽‍♀️ Try this:
👉When you notice yourself getting activated, pause.
👉Place one hand over your heart and one over your belly.
👉Take a slow, deep breath and whisper to yourself, “I am safe right now.”
👉Then just notice. Feel what’s happening inside. Heat, tightness, tingling, maybe even tears. Let it move through.
👉This is how the body begins to release what it has been holding.

Healing starts when we stop trying to fix ourselves and start listening to what our body is trying to say.

When the nervous system shifts into the dorsal vagal state, everything slows down.

You might feel disconnected, numb, or like you just want to disappear. This is the body’s way of protecting you when things feel too much.

Kambo is a natural secretion from the Giant Monkey Frog (Phyllomedusa bicolor), native to the Amazon rainforest.

The secretion is collected from the frog’s skin glands, where it serves as a natural defense mechanism against predators.

Traditionally, Indigenous tribes such as the Matsés, Katukina, and Yawanawá have worked with Kambo for centuries, using this sacred medicine to strengthen the body, clear dense energies, and bring harmony back to the mind and spirit

As a trauma informed practitioner we follow respectful and non-harmful harvesting methods. The frogs are gently collected at night, their limbs are loosely tied for a short time, and small amounts of secretion are carefully scraped from the skin.

The frog is then released unharmed back into its natural environment after the secretion is collected.

Unlike plant medicines such as Ayahuasca, Kambo is not psychoactive or psychedelic. It doesn’t alter perception or induce visions. Instead, it works through the body, initiating a detoxification process that supports physical, emotional, and energetic purification.

Spiritually, Kambo is often described as a reset or cleansing of the soul that's helping release emotional heaviness, dissolve energetic blockages, and reconnect you to your natural state of harmony and vitality.

✨ Symptom → Root Cause ✨

What you think is the problem… usually isn’t.
It’s a reflection. A messenger. A doorway into what actually needs healing.

👉Anxiety isn’t your enemy, it’s your nervous system asking for safety.
👉Procrastination isn’t laziness, it’s your body protecting you from overwhelm.
👉Self-sabotage isn’t a flaw, it’s a younger part of you trying to keep you safe.

When you start seeing your “symptoms” as sacred messengers instead of something to fix, healing becomes an act of compassion, not control.

Spend some time in nature today. Take a walk on the beach, walk barefoot on the grass, explore a new hiking trail.

All of this is soothing and helpful for nervous system regulation.

Nature is the most powerful medicine. Allow it to ground you, nurture you and bless you with its healing energy.

When was the last time you truly checked in with your body without trying to fix, change, or analyze anything?

Most of us move through the day reacting to what’s around us rather than responding from what’s within us. But your nervous system holds the wisdom of your current truth. It quietly communicates through sensation, tension, breath, and rhythm.

A nervous system check-in is not about finding a problem. It’s about cultivating presence. It’s an invitation to pause and ask:
✨ What do I need right now?
✨ How do I feel in this moment?
✨ What’s alive in me that wants to be acknowledged?

You don’t have to do anything with the answers. Simply noticing is the practice.
Awareness brings choice. Choice brings regulation. And regulation opens the door to peace, clarity, and deeper embodiment.

So today, before you rush to your next thing….
Pause.
Breathe.
Drop into your body.
Feel what’s here.

The Parasympathetic Nervous System: Your Body’s Natural Healing Mode

Most people live in go-go-go mode, constantly running on the sympathetic nervous system (fight, flight, freeze). What they don’t realize is that healing, restoration, and true regulation happen in the parasympathetic nervous system which is the “rest and digest” state.

Here’s what happens when your body enters parasympathetic activation:

✨ Muscles soften and release tension
✨ Cortisol (stress hormone) lowers
✨ Immune function strengthens
