Happy Birthday to the most incredible man I know! 🎉💖

Words could never fully capture how grateful I am for you — but I’ll try. You are all of the things to me: my best friend, my rock, my favorite travel buddy, the most caring partner, and the kindest, most loving soul I’ve ever met. You’ve shown up for me in every way possible — as a cheerleader when I needed a boost, a therapist when I needed to vent, a protector, a provider of peace, and the most amazing stepdad anyone could ask for.

Your love makes life brighter, your laughter makes days lighter, and your heart makes this world a better place. Watching you love so selflessly and live so fully is an inspiration. I honestly don’t know how I got so lucky to do life with someone as extraordinary as you.

My sweet boy. You made everything better, brighter. I wanted it to always be that way. But now you’re gone. We now have a space in our hearts that you used to fill. Your absence is crushing my soul. I left home today and it feels wrong. The quiet is heavy. I woke up this morning and it feels wrong. Not being able to give you a cookie or kiss before I left to work. The love you gave me, for the last 8 years of my life and the short 8 years of yours, was something so unconditional that my heartache is worth it. You had my heart from the second I rescued you and helped me love without holding back even though I know one day it was going to hurt to let you go. I would choose your love over and over again because it’s one of the most precious things I’ve ever had. I know this because I could literally feel my heart melt when I looked into your big brown eyes. What I wouldn’t give to hear you sing one more time 💔

I never make these posts but this year my birthday felt different. I’ve always had my family and friends, obvious, through them all but I have yet to have a partner that takes the time and effort to make my day special. I didn’t know what we were missing until he waltzed into our lives and took on responsibilities that aren’t his yet every day he absolutely kills it! So thank you to everyone who took time out of their day to wish me a happy birthday and a very special thank you to this man for making me feel like I’m worth the effort and his family for making me feel like I belong 🤍
