What is mine to do?
After over a decade fighting ICE, I trained in Breathwork to bring this powerful tool to survivors & frontline workers so that they (we) are able to sustain...
For the long haul.
More and more I ask myself - if we're going to change what already IS & actually resist what's coming, how can these "frontline" folks be an isolated niche?
They have to be each and every one of you (me, too)..
Who is willing to resist:
Economic boycotts, street patrols, neighbors helping neighbors
So I'm here for everyone who is saying "No!", with their soul, their words, their actions...
Or still trying to figure out how to.
It's okay not to have the answers.
I know many of you are still asking yourself "What matters? What will help? What is mine to do?"
This inner reflection is critical.
But atleast from my own experience, first comes regulating your nervous system before you can hear yourself speak.
Only when we can feel our fear and rage, while also being able to self-sooth (to sleep!) can we think clearly and creatively.
When we're overwhelmed by fear and uncertainty, numbing out, on edge and exhausted..
Not only can we not bring forth our best self,
Sometimes we can't even figure out the first step.
And only if we stay well physically & mentally can we keep going.
Only then do we have the strength & energy to act.
I can tell you firsthand how critical it is to do this work resourced, with tools, in order to have impact.
The inner work. And the outer action.
So I'm shifting up my Breathwork session this Saturday.
It was going to be on manifesting. But there's time for manifesting, both personal dreams and movement streams.
In this moment, today, with all we're holding, I feel that offering a session where you all can first ground, regulate your nervous system, and return to your inner source (resource) is key.
One where you have space to release all the emotions you're struggling with - sadness, rage, fear - so they don't get trapped in the body.
One where you can leave feeling calmer, more grounded, more present, more ready.
So that's what we're doing this Saturday.
Beyond our regular Breathwork journey, I'll also be sharing some of the simple breath practices I've been using on myself
To move from crying or numbing out into action and planning.
And on the really hard days, to simply unwind enough to go to sleep.
Join me Saturday. It can help. Event details are in the comments.
