That's another beast mode session complete.
With the next Trifecta only a few weeks away and a week off recovering from Henley-on-Thames, there is no letting off!
Just to top it off with a little circuit at the end for the point of pure fatigue chasing and leg and core power! Throw this in at the end of a workout:

30kg shoulder sand bag carry down the runway, round the gym and back down the other runway... swap shoulders and carry it back, switch to a 115kg sled push down the runway, run back, 40kg per side farmers walk, then push the sled back, then run back and farmers walk back - left me almost puking and a sweaty mess on the floor for 3.5 minutes rest... before doing it all again!

Every first Trifecta of the year is a reminder that I don't train enough for the first one of the year! Lol.... it probably didn't help that I didn't take my usual salt and magnesium so had cramp attacks for the last hour of the beast, which was first!!! I am on it now!
Who reading this uses calf compression and can say its definitely made a difference?
Any way.... my Sunday previous 9k loop won't be 9k from now on (gotta publicise that for a bit of personal accountability!! ).
And I need to up my game for the TWO Trifecta-in-one-days that are happening this year!! .....I literally only just made registration last year and the timing looks worse this year, but I WILL have that 5x🏅.... oh and good to bump into the Elite Obstacle domination himself:

This was my last big run before my first Trifecta weekend of 5 planned this year!
And, my first double Pendle Hill loop of the year! ....and I felt it!
The first loop I managed a 9:15 pace which is pretty good after having 2 weeks away from the hill for my Cancun holiday, but on the 2nd the old siatic starts rubbing (I think it's time for my chiropractor to twist my hip back in again, what fun!), so settled for a mostly walking 2nd loop... but, it needed to be done!
According to I needed 64 hours recovery time...

Play time is over!While away on my 10 day trip in Cancun,  I did manage to get to the gym once, got plenty of walking in...

While away on my 10 day trip in Cancun, I did manage to get to the gym once, got plenty of walking in and more swimming than usual.
But with the first of 5x Spartan Trifecta weekends booked this year, only a week away, a real hardcore workout was well and truly due!
