Happiest in nature 🌺☀️🌿⁣

Feeling so grateful and so grounded after a beautiful day at ⁣

This week has been the nervous system reset that I needed. ⁣

I’ve never been more in tune with how sensitive my nervous system is than during this pregnancy. ⁣

It’s become more essential than ever to truly listen to my body and put nourishment above all else. ⁣

This week here in Mexico, nourishment looks like tons of time outside, quality time with best friends, listening to the sounds of the ocean, and catching the morning sunrise. ⁣

Do you ever feel stressed about the stress you’re experiencing? ⁣

I definitely notice this is myself, and especially during pregnancy. ⁣

I worry whether me feeling stressed will negatively impact my growing babe - and that worry makes me feel even more stressed! 🤪⁣

So why do we stress about the stress?⁣

Because we’re making the feeling of stress mean something bad or negative about ourselves or our situation. ⁣

“Feeling stress means that I…”⁣

Maybe you believe feeling stress means you haven’t grown enough or aren’t healed enough.⁣

Maybe you believe feeling stress means that you won’t be able to show up in your life how you want or need to. ⁣

Or maybe feeling stress is just so uncomfortable and you get all worked up about feeling it, and that ends up just making it worse!⁣

What would happen if we simply allowed ourselves to feel it, but not make it mean anything? ⁣

This is a lesson I’m continuously working on and checking myself for. ⁣

A couple of days ago I shared a post about how the launch of my recent TAP program was taking me through a real rollercoaster of emotion. This felt super vulnerable and raw to talk about, and I almost didn’t share. I normally wouldn’t share in a moment like that actually. I would typically go inward and process on my own, and then maybe share later once things had resolved. But my intuition was calling me to share and I also got a super clear sign in the form of a card pull (the card was “share your voice”), so I did. ⁣

Now a few days later, I’ve had time to reflect on that experience and this is what I’ve uncovered…⁣

I was able to share because 1) in my nervous system I felt safe enough to express myself even when it was vulnerable and uncomfortable, and, 2) I was in a state where I was receptive and open to my intuition ⁣

So how do we get our nervous systems into that safe place where we trust ourselves and can move forward even amongst the uncomfortable? Into a place where we can act from intuition vs. fear? It’s a shift that needs to happen in the body, mind and soul, and it’s a rewiring of old patterns. ⁣

For me, I can credit so much of this regulation and healing in my nervous system to the practice of tapping. ⁣

When you practice EFT tapping, you are consistently taking your body out of the stress/fear response and back into a rest state where you feel calm and safe. And over time, we can permanently rewire those fear-based patterns in the body and mind. ⁣

From that state, we are more open to and trusting of our intuition, and we feel safer to take action on those intuitive feelings. ⁣

Day 1 of this program launch and I’m called to be totally honest and vulnerable about how I’m feeling (inspired by a card pull I did today - “Share Your Voice” - from the Work Your Light deck by )⁣

So - Today I’ve oscillated between feeling super triggered and in a place of doubt (and so frustrated with myself for feeling this way - after all these years of self work, still getting triggered like this), and then getting bursts of genuine gratitude and feeling really freaking proud of myself for creating something that I think is pretty amazing. ⁣

I’ve gone from a place of trust and surrender, alllll the way to complete doubt and feeling like a failure. ⁣

… in the span of one day 😂 ⁣

It’s exhausting to say the least. ⁣

But at the end of the day, I have to believe that I’m called to this work for a reason. That the intense pull to bring the practice of tapping to all of you is meaningful. That what I have to offer you is freaking impactful and can genuinely help you. And that it will reach who it’s meant to reach. ⁣

It feels vulnerable to share this - especially as I’ve just launch the tap program. ⁣

My mind is saying things like,⁣
“why is this relevant to share?”⁣
“you should be promoting the program instead”⁣
“won’t everyone think less of you knowing you still get triggered like this?” ⁣

But I know that’s just fear, and I know that my intuition is (even just a little) louder. And that’s why I’m sharing it anyway. ⁣

I don’t have a resolution to share at the moment. I’m in the thick of feeling it. But I will keep you posted (feel free to hold me to that 😉🤍)

Bumpin’ 🤰🏼⁣

I’ve found it so facinating throughout these 15 weeks of pregnancy so far to notice the changes in my body, and to also notice my reaction to these changes. ⁣

I’ve felt in absolute awe that my body has taken over and just knows how to grow a baby. It feels so exciting and magical and incredibly special - and at the same time it’s brought up a lot. I’ve noticed fears, anxieties and a tight grip on what I think my pregnant body SHOULD look and feel like. ⁣

I had no idea prior to getting pregnant that I even had these expectations. But throughout this experience when Ive felt or looked different than what I apparently expected, it caused a rise in anxiety and fear about whether everything was ok. ⁣

It’s like I completely forgot that I can lean into trust - that I can let go of control and trust my body to grow and nourish my baby. ⁣

This theme of trust and surrender has been such a through-line in my life, and is something I’ve worked on in all areas. Now I can typically feel it coming from a mile away and support myself in leaning back into trust. But with pregnancy it really snuck up on me - I did not feel it coming and once I was in it, it was intense. ⁣

In sharing this with my best mama friends they helped remind me that what I’m feeling is normal. That growing a human will bring up an intense desire to control but at the same time is something you have little control over. They reminded me that I can trust my body. It was a light bulb moment and since then I’ve felt much more relaxed, but I know it will continue to come up. ⁣

I see becoming a mama as such a lesson in trust and surrender - one that I’ve been learning all my life and one that I am so grateful for because it will allow me to teach this to my daughter. To instil a belief in her that she is safe to trust - that she can surrender to the flow of life because that’s where the most beautiful things will be found 🤍

Sinking into the weekend 〰️ and reflecting on something .carly said on a recent episode:⁣

𝘋𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥, 𝘰𝘳 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘳?⁣

Just because something is familiar doesn’t always mean it feels good. ⁣

Maybe stress or over-working is familiar. Maybe it’s anxiety - worry and rumination. Maybe self-doubt or negative self-talk is familiar, or maybe it’s putting everyone else’s needs before your own. ⁣

When these nervous system patterns or ways of thinking feel familiar it’s easier to default there and we often do. ⁣

But if we gives ourselves the opportunity to take pause and ask this question - 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘰𝘳 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘳? - then we can interrupt that pattern. We can consciously choose again and move towards what actually 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥. ⁣

I feel so inspired by that simple prompt and how much insight and self-awareness it can give us! ⁣
