Easter in Mexico 🐣

It’s been quite the year for our little family. We’ve had the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. But we’ve made it through the first year of parenthood and we both agree, we are all thriving!
So blessed with wonderful friends and family, careers that support our beautiful adventurous lifestyle and love that holds it all together.
The biggest perk of this week in Mexico was spending every day with Daddy not having to go to work. We are eternally grateful for .a.rad hard work and dedication to our vision of raising Nova with me at home. We are blessed beyond measure to have him kicking ass in business (both of ours).
Looking forward to a year full of adventure and abundance. And to creating memories

Our first time visiting this amazing spot. We found an impeccable near the beach with a salt water pool and space for us to all stretch out. is an incredible spot for anyone looking to get away to this chill spot!
The restaurants in the area are epic and the locals and staff make the experiences even more enjoyable. Eating farm to table and organic all week was obviously a must for us and our family

My baby is 1 ☀️

They tell you it goes by fast but that’s an understatement.
Nova you are the light of my life. You’ve given my life a whole new meaning and purpose.
I look forward to every new day and every new milestone, each one is my favorite.
You are the greatest Easter, Spring and birthday gift ever and I am so grateful to share this beautiful month of birth with you.
Thank you for making me a mama.

Now in true Aries fashion, let’s celebrate for at least the next two weeks, dress fabulously and have the most fun ever!

🌈 My Daddy left his body yesterday 🌈

My life is forever changed.

He is now free from any suffering. His decade long battle with Lewy Body Dementia with Parkinsonism is over. The disease ripped his livelihood from him and was an intense reminder to us all to live life to the fullest everyday.

If you knew my Dad you knew he was the kindest, gentlest most fun guy there was. He had an amazing sense of humor (even despite his disease), had the patients of a saint (needed them with my brother and I), loved adventures (a lifetime of memories) and above all his kindness made every and any one feel at ease in his presence.

I got to have so many wonderful conversations with my Dad before he transitioned and one conversation I asked him what he would like me to tell Nova. He said “tell her to always be kind to others”

I am so grateful my Daddy held on long enough to watch me become a mother. I will do everything in my power to create the same loving and amazing childhood that we had, for Nova.

So many feelings and words but this is all I can muster for now.

5 teeth, crawling, will eat anything, is the loudest person in the room, says “DA” to everything, claps incessantly and I swear gets cuter everyday. Nova loo, we love you 🥰

Happy Holiday’s 🎄🕎🎉

Our holiday cards are late, I ate wayyyyyy too much sugar, Christmas wasn’t how we imagined Novas’s first to be but we were all together.

Somehow managed to find sweetness in the chaos and uncertainty. Joy in the sadness. Optimism in the inevitable.

We made it to Santa’s lap and asked randoms to snap spur of the moment family photos. The matching pjs had their moment and I got to sit with my Dad, just us, and talk about what comes next.

Life is one hell of a ride and boy has this year been a rollercoaster 🎢

Grateful for every single moment of every single day and ready to take on everything that’s to come, because holy hell sobriety, healing and now motherhood sure have prepared me for the hard stuff.

Wishing and hoping everyone is soaking in this awkward time between Christmas and New Year’s with those they love. If you’re on my mailing list, the holiday cards will now be New Years’s cards and you can admire my Rad Fam for all of January!

Just like motherhood is simultaneously the hardest and easiest thing I’ve ever done, 2024 has been the happiest and saddest. But so glad I can feel it all, present and aware ✨

Today’s a special day, I made a special cake, we will all be together as a family and celebrate my Dad’s 79th birthday.

His favorite cake is Mimi’s cheesecake (his mom’s) which no matter how precisely anyone follows her hand written recipe, will never quite taste like hers, but that doesn’t stop me from trying.

My Dad is my original travel buddy. He instilled a sense of adventure in me. My love for travel, the outdoors, anything fun and expensive 😂. My Dad has good taste, in food, fashion, music, people and always has shown me how to appreciate things. We have traveled together, ridden motorcycles, flew airplanes, jumped out of them, hiked, eaten at the best restaurants and enjoyed so much of this life.

I am forever a Daddy’s girl and the most proud to be Richard Smith’s daughter. I am who I am because I am his daughter.

Things are hard right now and we are embracing each day that we have. If you’ve read this far and the tears aren’t blocking your keyboard, please send my Dad a huge birthday wish and blessing. If you have a fun story of him please share so I can read to him today.

Happy Anniversary Azizam - one year ago we were well rested, deciding between pool or beach lounging and having lobster dinner under the stars.
