👋🏾Welcome to my page! My name is Lonnie, and I'm the founder of Rooted in Joy.

Rooted in Joy is a wellness company that offers a range of yoga classes. After noticing not many people of color were taking my yoga classes as a student, I decided to become a yoga instructor. When the pandemic was at its peak, I turned to my yoga practice to calm my spirits.

In the beginning, yoga felt intimidating and I had no idea what to expect. I thought I was not flexible enough. As I continued to practice yoga, I found myself feeling calmer and using my breath and postures to shift my toxic mindset.

I offer in-person and virtual yoga classes. I enjoy teaching yoga to beginners!

I dont always wear workout clothes...

With the pandemic it has been easier to not put on cute clothes or even do my hair, but sis I'm telling you this the energy shift when you spruce it up a bit is powerful!

As we enter a new month, I encourage you to find one moment to play dressup, wear that cute dress, throw on that bomb lipstick and maybe even do a selfie photo shoot...because you are beautiful and it's nothing wrong with a little glitz and glam!

🧡Gratitude🧡 To everyone who has supported me this year! The love was real, frfr. I had many moments of doubt but God always found a way to send someone or something to remind me of what I’m capable of doing.

I’m excited to continue leading yoga classes, and eager to support a bigger community of powerful women!
