I’ve noticed us women can feel guilty around experiences that give us pleasure - including food - which leaves a bitter aftertaste to what is meant to be nourishing and life-giving
⠀
Perhaps you’re semi-enjoying something while you’re eating it but at the same time have judging thoughts that it’s a “bad” or “naughty” food..and you’re doing something “wrong” ⠀
⠀
Guilt can taint our experience and weaken our vitality ⠀
⠀
Pleasure, when we’re in right relationship with it, is a power booster and gives radiance to a woman. It quite literally turns her ON!!⠀
⠀
And what this world needs is women who are turned on 🌹
⠀
This beautiful question is an indicator of your current relationship with food (and pleasure) ⠀
⠀
It’s less about what you are eating and more about evolving your relationship to these aspects of your life⠀
⠀
It’s a JUICY topic and a fascinating place of exploration⠀
⠀
Yet another reason why I love the approach of my work as a Mind Body Eating Coach. ⠀
⠀
Whatever your answer, meet it with a sense of curiosity, compassion and gentleness. ⠀
⠀
Avoid falling into the sneaky trap of feeling guilty for feeling guilty. Easily done.⠀
⠀
I’d love to know the last thing you ate where you gave yourself full permission to deeply drop into pleasure and feel fully satisfied. ⠀
⠀
Whether it was a delicious dish cooked by a friend, some warm apple pie, a piece of decadent chocolate cake (ideally fed to you by your lover on sheets of satin) or some fresh strawberries with the sun on your face! ⠀
⠀
Mine was a piece of toasted carrot cake eaten in a café while people watching..which is one of my favourite (guilt-free) past times ….mmm mmm mmm⠀
⠀
If you’d like to explore more about how to find peace and pleasure with food I have a few juicy 1:1 coaching spots available coming up.. feel free to DM me. I’d love to hear from you! ⠀
