My Own journey of Self-Healing

Today, I want to share something very personal with you.
Last weekend, I joined a Dr Joe Dispenza retreat right here in Malaysia, run by our teacher, Mr. Lee Geok Hwee at Mr. Peter Yee's beautiful dwelling in Janda Baik.
It was mostly - science of the brain and how it works. I know that doesn't sound interesting. But I love it, I love all the details and explanation and the understanding of it. And there was even a brain anatomy video showing a dissected brain and labelling it such and such… but what made it more interesting is that at the same time, I felt like I was stepping into a sacred space of spiritual alchemy. Yes, it was called the Mystical Retreat. Though I assure you there was no magician, smoke or chants.
It was based on, a particular section of Dr Joe Dispenza's books and course. And it really is: emerging sciences all the way. Unfortunately the sciences part was rather long and detailed, I believe there were a few people (including maybe Jules...😍😂) who tuned out from some of the explanation but wait till the practice sessions - that's where all the results are!
Amazingly it was only two full days.
And I walked away fully confident and knowing this is true:
You CAN heal yourself.
Yes, Self-healing is real. And so, this must now be part of my life’s work as a Therapist who has been at it for the last 4 years.
Because you know why? I remember it was only a few years back, I stood there holding a box of chemo drugs for my mom at the hospital. Looking at the price tag of RM30,000 per box in which there are 30 pills and she will need one pill daily. This is not sustainable I thought, not in the recovery and not in our finances.
Feeling worried and rather desperate, I sourced and found a cheaper version, from a license pharmaceutical based in India. RM2,000. So we thought ok - now lets go for it.
But it was only after three days of taking the pill… my mother collapsed.
From someone who is able to drive herself, go shopping, laughing, she became bedridden and very quiet.
And I asked myself: How could something meant to heal her, break her instead?
Can someone tell me what is going on here?
I am not someone who is negative or likes to dwell in conspiracy theories about pharmacology's intentions, but then this was not the only moment that made me doubt.
Earlier my son, a young boy of 18 at that time - someone who is strong and active in sports - collapsed for two weeks after the COVID vaccine and I was absolutely frantic, looking around for help.
Because it was after the tests which confirms arrythmia which is something he never had and during the lockdown he never ate or did anything different, the specialist answer to these new phenomenon was: “We will put him under observation.”
Well I am not going to sit there and wait for something to happen while he is under observation. So I turned to new paths. Through a close friend's recommendation - I found Naturopath Doctors who are practicing homeopathic and alternative medicine using a Bioresonance machine from Germany. I jumped on it. It didn't just healed my son, but it healed him so well that he need not take any psychiatric medication he was on at that time (for his ADHD).
I was convinced this will work that I forked out RM50,000 and bought the machine. and forked more money to take up a formal course to be a practitioner.
I trained diligently for 2 years under the Naturopath doctors.
I treated people quietly.
And with my mother at that time, it worked too.
Alongside chemo, I treated her with bioresonance.
She lived almost four extra years in remission — healthy, vibrant, pain-free.
Not sick. Not bedridden. She lived her life. Until it was really her time to leave (she contracted an infection and passed).
And when I combined this with Lindwall Releasing which I learned and benefitted from my earlier days as part of a self development and healing journey, I know this was something that gave her dignity. While it gave me as well as others the opportunity to let go, forgive, heal and move on in life with more clarity.
And now, through Dr Joe Dispenza's work, I can see it even deeper.
The brain is not just an organ - our brain is not just an organ. It is also your healer.
When we change our thoughts, when we elevate our emotions, when we release the past… the body heals.
I know, because I did, heal.
For a couple of years now, I was suffering from a bad knee which halted much of me and Jules's motorbike enjoyment on the road (seen that and done that). Due to my distrust of medical sciences based on my experiences, I declined any medical treatment and only found a working solution a few months ago after I sought treatment from my brother in law, an anesth doctor who learned an alternative modality known as the PiT (Perineural Injection Therapy). But just the day before I arrived to this course, I don't exactly remember how it happened but I hurt my knee again. I was aghast, haissh!..not again lah.
So I was a bit apprehensive on my condition, wondering how can I follow the course with this on and off pain.
But on the very first day of Mr Lee's class - I healed that very knee! I didn't actively do anything, no pills to pop, no physiotherapy. All I did was just show up in his class and followed his instructions.
It has healed.
And so this is my message to you:
You can release your past.
You can rewire your thoughts.
You can heal yourself
All you need is conviction. And the courage to do the work. (You don’t need the pills!)
So step out of your past.
Step into your life.
Step into your power.
✨ Show up, do the work, heal and be the best version of yourself.
Step into your life. You can Heal Yourself.
Because you deserve nothing less.

Step Out of the Past, and Step Into Your Life
'Now I just want you to close your eyes, breath in and rela###..' emphasising the word relax and using the monotonous voice that I usually do when I want to begin the Private Releasing process.
'Relax? Ha? How? How to do that? I'd never been relaxed my whole life...' my client/patient responded. She is suffering from various ailments including an auto immune disease.
Now, let me ask you - how many of us are still living in the past—without even realising it?
The truth is, most of us are.
How do we know, that?
If your days are filled with stress, tension, worry, inability to rest your thoughts or relax or even depression—that is the biggest clue.
It means your body is still reliving an old memory, an old program. In fact, as Dr. Joe Dispenza reminds us in his book 'Becoming Supernatural' which I read recently and couldn't put down until I fell asleep at 2am; most people wake up every day and unconsciously rehearse the past: the same thoughts create the same choices, the same choices create the same behaviours, the same behaviours create the same experiences, and the same experiences produce the same familiar emotions.
And so we live as though the past is happening all over again.
Why does this happen?
There are two main reasons:
1. Our brain
2. Our genes
The Brain
Our brain is wired for survival. The autonomic nervous system, running mostly on autopilot, records past memories to keep us safe. But the problem is this: every time you recall a stressful event, your body doesn’t know the difference between the memory and the actual event. It reacts the same way—releasing stress chemicals like adrenaline and cortisol.
That’s why even a simple trigger, like a phone call from your boss, can send your body into the same stress response as if danger is happening right now. You are literally re-living the past in the present moment.
The Genes
For a long time, we believed our genes were our destiny. “It’s just in my DNA,” we say. But science—especially the field of epigenetics—has shattered that myth.
As Dr. Joe Dispenza writes, we are not doomed by our genes. Instead, our lifestyle, emotions, and thoughts can switch genes on or off, changing how they are expressed.
Why is this so important?
Because your genes create cells that create proteins, and proteins run your body. If you repeatedly trigger your behavioural response genes, your body keeps manufacturing chemicals of survival—cortisol and adrenaline. Over time, this imbalance wears down the system, creating disease.
But here’s the good news: the reverse is also true. When you step out of survival and into creation, when you practise gratitude, compassion, and heart-brain coherence, your body begins to heal. You literally re-write your biological destiny.
So, this is where Lindwall Releasing becomes a life-changing practice.
If stress, fear, or limitation comes from being trapped in old programs of the past, then releasing is the conscious act of letting go of those programs. Through simple yet profound statements when you are in the alpha state, the Lindwall Releasing helps you:
- Identify and release limiting beliefs that keep you looping in the same emotions.
- Free yourself from the weight of past memories, so they no longer control your body’s responses.
- Reconnect with your present self, opening space for clarity, calmness, and choice.
Where the brain wants to hold on, and the body stresses due to the past memories, releasing allows you to surrender—to let go of control and give yourself permission to be free. In doing so, you shift from survival to creation.
With every release, the past loosens its grip, and the present moment becomes lighter, more expansive, and full of possibility.
When you release the past and dissolve limiting beliefs, you begin to step into life with new energy. Instead of stress hormones, you cultivate elevated emotions—gratitude, peace, joy. Your nervous system relaxes. Your heart opens. Your mind clears.
And as Dr. Joe reminds us, the best way to predict your future is to create it.
Releasing is the key that helps you stop repeating history—and start writing your destiny.
So step out of the past. Breathe into the present. Release what no longer serves you. And live your life with clarity, calmness, and freedom.

A CLIENT'S TESTIMONY : GOING BEYOND SYMPTOM MANAGEMENT - ADDRESSING THE ROOT CAUSES OF DIS-EASE

“I’ve lived with eczema for decades, relying on steroid creams, pills, and various alternative treatments with limited results. About a year ago, I discovered hypnotherapy. In just one healing session focused on stress and anxiety, I felt calmer, my mood lifted, and my skin began to heal—without medication. My eczema has not returned since.

“I later did three ‘releasing’ sessions to address challenges in work and relationships. They helped me let go of past traumas, build confidence, and set healthy boundaries. For the first time, I found it easy to express my thoughts and feelings without guilt or fear.

"Where they were stress and tensions almost on a daily basis, through mindfulness and grounding techniques, I’ve gained greater resilience, clarity, emotional balance, and self-awareness.

"Setting boundaries has earned me more respect from others and reduced unnecessary demands. They have transformed my relationship with my superiors at work, and my relationships with my close family members. These practices are now part of my daily life, supporting my well-being and helping me make conscious, fulfilling choices.

“I’m grateful for this journey and excited to continue exploring my inner growth with Jules and Azrina.”

- "Fatimah", 45, accounts manager

This heartfelt testimony of our client captures the essence of what we do as a clinical hypnotherapist and Lindwall Releasing practitioners.

Beyond Symptom Management

For decades, Fatimah battled eczema with creams, medications, and alternative remedies. These treatments targeted the symptom—inflamed skin—but not the root cause. Medications provided temporary relief but carried side effects, while other therapies offered only partial improvements.

Mainstream medicine often excels at managing physical manifestations, but it rarely ventures deep enough to address the emotional and psychological roots that manifest in the body. Eczema, in this case, was not just a skin condition—it was the body’s expression of long-held stress and unprocessed emotions.

What is Clinical Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is not about “mind control” or “putting someone under a spell,” as some myths suggest. It is a scientifically recognised method of accessing the subconscious mind—the part of us that stores beliefs, memories, and emotional patterns.

In a safe, guided state of relaxation (a natural trance state we all enter daily), hypnotherapy helps bypass the critical, conscious mind to reach deeper layers where transformation can happen more efficiently. Where talk psychotherapy may take years of conscious processing, hypnotherapy can achieve breakthrough shifts in just a few sessions, because it works directly at the source of stored trauma and stress.

In Fatimah's case, one session focusing on stress and anxiety allowed her nervous system to relax, breaking the cycle of inflammation and emotional tension that aggravated her skin condition.

The Power of Lindwall Releasing

While hypnotherapy helps uncover and transform subconscious beliefs, Lindwall Releasing goes further: it goes to the root cause of our blocks and allows the individuals to let go.

Often, as a result of unresolved trauma, we hold on to old pain, guilt, anger, or fear because at some level we believe it protects us. Over time, however, this holding weighs us down, shows up in our relationships, and even manifests in physical illness. We may even develop limiting beliefs based on the experiences that have shaped us and this manifest into recurring patterns in our lives.

Through the Releasing process, clients are guided to recognise, verbalise, and let go of these limiting beliefs and emotional burdens—sometimes ones they didn’t even know they were carrying. The result is a profound sense of emotional lightness, clarity and insight into the problems they were facing.

As Fatimah shared, releasing unresolved traumas gave her the confidence to speak openly, set healthy boundaries, and find balance in her daily life.

Healing the Whole Person

This approach—combining clinical hypnotherapy, releasing and mindfulness—treats not just the body, but the mind, emotions, and spirit.

✨Symptoms are messages, not enemies.
✨Healing happens when we listen to what the body is trying to tell us.
✨Transformation comes when we release what no longer serves us.

Fatimah's journey shows what is possible when healing goes beyond the surface. Her eczema has not returned, but more importantly, she has gained a new sense of confidence, resilience, freedom and control in her personal and professional life.

True healing is not about treating just the symptoms—it’s about addressing the roots. When the unconscious is made conscious by listening to the body, honouring our emotions, and release what we’ve held onto for so long.

✨ If this resonates with you, I invite you to connect with us. Whether you’re facing physical symptoms, emotional struggles, or just want to step into your power, know that healing is possible.

And then she cried. Earnestly. Her body rocking with the weight of grief she had carried for far too long. Shoulders that had been determined to be “strong” finally gave way. I was relieved when the floodgates opened.
I touched her arm, looked into her eyes, and said, “It’s okay. You’re safe here. Let it go… please, let it all go.”
Its probably been more than 15 years since I last saw her. We were colleagues and friends back then — she, Chinese and me, Malay. Both tall, both a little larger than average for our kind. We used to joke about it while hunting for lunch spots — sambal belacan or occasionally sambal petai for her, and soupy noodles for me. Every afternoon, she would make us Nescafé in the pantry, a small ritual of friendship in the middle of the corporate busyness.
Eventually, life took its turns. She married a Malay man and could indulge in tempoyak and sambal without hesitation. I married a Chinese man who, with each passing year, looks more and more Malay (but that’s another story…). And then we drifted apart.
Three weeks ago, by chance, she called my name in a mall. A long-lost friend. We hugged, promised to meet soon, and when we did today, she told me her story.
The sudden loss of her beloved husband. His illness, too quick, too cruel. And then, a major surgery she endured alone immediately after.
As she spoke, her voice cracked, and the tears she had been holding back for months spilled out.
I understood.
For I too am walking the path of grief, after my dear mother’s passing end of last year. And for once, I wasn’t awkward. I simply held space.
“It’s okay,” I told her. “You don’t have to hold it all in anymore. You showed up at work, you carried on as if nothing happened… but something did happen. And it matters. And I’m so glad we met again and I’m so glad you can share it with me. Let it go. There is no need to hold it in anymore. Don't, don't be scared to be vulnerable. Its not shameful. Vulnerability is a strength.”
That moment reminded me: grief does not need to be hidden behind masks of strength. True healing begins when we allow ourselves to be vulnerable, to be seen, to let others hold us in our breaking.
She nodded through her tears, wiping it with the tissue papers.
I invited her to rest her back into the chair and close her eyes and repeat some releasing statements after me.
In between the sobs, she breathed deeply, one breath at a time. Slowly, the storm quietened. Her breathing steadied. Her tears softened.
And in that moment, I saw grief being released.
Because grief is not meant to be locked down inside. It is meant to be felt, honoured, and gently released — Because I know what remains is just, love.
- Our deepest thoughts and prayers for all friends who are going through loss and bereavement at this juncture. We shall be holding space for a FREE Group Releasing on the topic of Grief and Bereavement in September 2025.

Gratitude to the people who came for our Retreat on Releasing the Root Causes of Procrastination. They are from 22 years of age to over 70 years old of different faiths and ethnicities. Again, I was so taken in by the sharing that I forgot to take a group photo with everyone in it.

The first step to healing is to realise Procrastination is not a management or productivity issue but emotional dysregulation. It is a coping mechanism.

You are not avoiding the task itself, but the feelings connected to it – fear, inadequacy,
uncertainty, boredom or even restlessness. At the base of it, is feeling unsafe.

The root causes we focused on today include:
– Childhood trauma
– Parental stress, especially during the womb stage
– ADHD-related self-image and emotional patterns - for ADHD, the releasing will not be about “fixing ADHD” but about releasing the shame, fear, and emotional weight that can amplify procrastination.

In addition to the Releasing session, we also teach mindfulness as a tool of emotional self regulation, being more present and aware.

In this practise, you become more aware of your own thoughts, reactions, feelings and state of physical and mental being. When you become more aware, you can decide and act with intention rather than compulsion. This is how you create an intentional life, a life of your intention rather than depending on circumstances.

“I just feel like I have woken up from a holiday!” - "Aliza", retreatant.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for our July Half-Day Free Retreat on Releasing Self-Worthiness: Healing the Inner Child.

We feel deeply grateful and nourished by the presence and sharings of those who took part in this intimate journey. Thank you Khadijah of Chi Dynamics who guided us in Qi Qong at the start of our retreat.

During the intergration, one participant — who has previously attended our retreats and one-to-one sessions — shared beautifully how the practice of mindfulness, releasing trauma, and healing her inner child has helped her become more self-aware and transform the dynamics of her relationship with her spouse.

Another spoke candidly about recognising how she has unconsciously carried her parents’ “habit energy” into her own parenting. Becoming aware of these inherited patterns is such an important step towards healing and transformation.

In this retreat, we invited each heart to slow down…

To articulate gentle releasing statements in deep relaxation,
To breathe with mindfulness,
To rest in heart coherence and self-compassion,
And to finally let go…

Here, we ask nothing of anyone — no pressure to share, just space to meet yourself quietly, safely, in your own way.

We feel blessed to witness these journeys.
You can watch glimpses from our session below.

May all beings heal,
May all hearts remember their worthiness,
May all children feel safe and loved.

Thank you again to all who came and shared their journeys — your openness and courage inspire us.

For this month's Theme on the Root Causes of Procrastination, we will be doing an FB Live during the Releasing session at the following time.

Sunday 17 August, 2025
10:30 am to 11:30 am.

Procrastination isn’t always laziness. Sometimes it’s a wound in disguise. What once kept us safe can keep us stalled – circling tasks we were once too small to face.

The first step isn’t forcing action. It’s seeing the story beneath the pause. And knowing: you were never meant to live in avoidance. You were meant to act from freedom.

Every month we hold a free retreat on different themes - releasing stress, self-worthiness, grief and bereavement, etc.

This Sunday, 9 am to 12 pm we will guide you to release the root causes of procrastination and introduce practises of mindfulness and heart-brain coherence that you can bring home to practise.

PM or WA for your seat.

Sharing the positive outcome of a client who had suffered a series of terrible setbacks in his life due to procrastination.
----------------------
He arrived about half an hour late, quietly slipping into a seat beside us. We continued our group releasing session — a small free retreat that we had organized once a month to help participants release stress and other issues.
As I voiced each Lindwall Releasing statement aloud, I noticed him shifting uncomfortably. He rubbed his legs, then his arms, his face flushing red. Restless and uneasy, it was clear he was struggling to sit still. At first, I wasn’t sure what was happening, but it soon became obvious that the releasing statements must have touched a raw wound he had been carrying.
Later, we understood more about his story. He described himself as a perpetual procrastinator. No matter how much effort he made, life seemed to conspire against him. If he tried to arrive on time, something always happened—a sudden roadblock, an accident, an unexpected delay. Something would always get in the way.
The consequences were severe. He had by now run out of excuses at work; fired from job after job, each one harder to replace than the last. In his younger days, he brushed it off, scraping by without much care, as then he also had a lot of parental support. But now, he is older, the contrast became unbearable. His former classmates, some of whom he admitted were far less gifted in school, had built stable careers and families. He was especially shaken when he met an old schoolmate recently, someone he had once considered “just average,” now thriving in a senior position.
That was when the truth hit him: he was missing out on life. He really wasn’t living up to his true potential. Instead, he was stuck in a painful cycle of jobs he couldn’t keep, commitments he couldn’t honor, and relationships he couldn’t hold on to.
Beneath it all, he felt empty. Hollow. As if life had lost all meaning.
In a private session with us, we traced the root cause of his procrastination. It wasn’t easy, he had numbed himself for so long, cut off from deeply feeling his own body.
But once we managed to open and help him release the resistance, the memories began to surface.
It was the story of a five-year-old boy.
A trauma that froze his life responses at that tender age.
Imagine an adult still making life’s choices with the wounds of a five-year-old child.
Together, we released the old stories he had carried for decades.
A month later, Jules texted and asked how he was, he replied:
“I honestly feel a lot lighter. It’s hard to explain, but it’s like a weight has been lifted. I know this is just the beginning, but I finally feel like I can move forward.”
And the results are showing. At work, his bosses praised him.
Yes, he's no longer the man trapped in the past, he finally stepped into his power.
What would you be able to do if you could Release, and Step Into Your Power?
Note: We will be holding a free retreat session on the theme of Procrastination on Sunday 17th August from 9 - 12pm at our location in Bandar Baru Bangi.
