A Journey of Hope and Improvement Through Vision Therapy
Yew was born with Third Cranial Nerve Palsy. At the age of three, she underwent ptosis lid surgery and exotropia correction surgery for her left eye.
However, an eye examination in 2017 revealed further weakening of her extraocular muscles.
When Yew visited our practice in July 2020, comprehensive eye assessment showed right exotropia and hypertropia (the eye deviating outward and upward), with no binocular fusion at both distance and near.
Since starting vision therapy in July 2020, Yew has shown remarkable improvement.
Her eye alignment has progressed very well, and she is now able to converge much better than before. Most importantly, her confidence has improved significantly as her visual function continues to develop.
With continued and structured vision therapy, we strongly believe that further improvement is achievable, helping Yew build better visual coordination and quality of life.
从挑战到进步：一段充满希望的视觉治疗旅程
Yew 出生时即被诊断患有 第三颅神经麻痹。在 三岁 时，她已接受手术矫正 眼皮下垂 及 左眼外斜视 的问题。
然而，在 2017 年 的眼睛检查中发现，她的 眼外肌功能仍持续减弱。
直到 2020 年 7 月，Yew 来到我们诊所进行详细视力检查，结果显示她存在 右眼外斜并伴随上斜 的情况，同时 远近距离皆无法形成双眼并用视觉。
因此，我们为她安排并开始了 系统性的视觉治疗。
短短 8 个月 的治疗过程中，她的 眼位明显改善，双眼收敛能力大幅进步，更令人欣慰的是，她的 自信心也随着视觉功能的改善而明显提升。
我们深信，只要持续进行合适的视觉治疗，Yew 的视觉协调能力将会进一步提升，为她带来 更稳定的眼位、更好的视觉功能，以及更自信的生活。
