A passionate yoga teacher from Penang. Yen loves to deliver yoga to practitioners start from where they are. Her teaching is supportive holistic and preserve the authenticity of yoga, include a medley of movement, breath work, meditation, deep relaxation, chanting and yoga philosophy through story telling.
Yen holds a professional certificate in Accounting (ACCA), Yoga Teacher Training at 200-hour, 500-hour, kids, prenatal & postnatal. She enjoyed travelling to different countries such as USA, Bali, India, Bangkok and Beijing to attend yoga courses and workshops every year.
Thirteen years ago, she founded Qi Yoga. Qi Yoga was the first name in her thought when she was joining teacher training in India. "Qi" (breath or 气) means life force. To her, breathe correctly to harmonise the Qi in our body is as important as taking correct foods. Practicing yoga with correct breathing can have impact not only to physical body and mind, but open us opportunity to the road of spiritual and wisdom.
She established and worked almost exclusively in Yoga Teacher Training for over ten years, and have taught about 30 teachers in the areas of Yoga philosophy, techniques, Yoga anatomy, adjustment and apprenticeship.
Teaching private class, guiding transformational experiences and mentoring teachers are deeply meaningful to her. In 2021, she decided to recreate an update version of teacher training which is more relevant to the latest world practice. In the same year, she also developed yoga continuing education for teachers and dedicated yoga practitioners, which will focus more on how yoga can serve us in our post-modern lives. In 2022, I started to offer private class in an online context too.
She looks forward in meeting you in this confluence of Yoga.
