Derrick Yap is a qualified physiotherapist who graduated with a Diploma in Physiotherapy (Mahsa) and a Bachelors in Physiotherapy (Hons, UK) from Mahsa University. Derrick firmly believes in the importance of utilising clinical reasoning with a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology and biomechanics and combining all these with manual therapy and active rehabilitation to help you achieve your goals in rehabilitation. He is also a firm advocate of education, whereby patients receives education alongside active rehabilitation to EMPOWER patients into making decisions that will further EMPOWER their active lifestyle. Derrick holds 5 local bodybuilding titles with the most recent being the 1st runner up in the 2017 Kuala Lumpur Bodybuilding championship (Senior Middle Weight). With his academic background in physiotherapy and his keen interest in different sports, this led him to further immerse himself into strength and conditioning to help EMPOWER others into starting their active lifestyle or ENHANCE their current active lifestyle. Derrick is a firm believer of improving function via strength and conditioning, anything that improves function will prevent pain. The formula for longevity is function.

This movement has been a real life saver, following my lower back flare up 4 weeks ago.

I'll be honest and say that I couldn't really enjoy my training and that was pretty depressing.

That being said, remember this

There are no problems, only solutions

Despite the circumstances, I kept an open mind and tried loading my legs via different modes

After a couple of trials and errors, I stumbled upon this. Took a couple of sets to get comfortable but now I'm absolutely in love with it

Feels really good on my knees and back, and I get to train my biceps as well 😂😂😂
