We are extremely proud to announce that KPJ Ipoh Specialist Hospital has achieved Platinum Status in the 2024 WSO Angels Awards. This prestigious recognition will be formally presented at the annual regional conferences attended by leading experts in stroke care.

The Angels Initiative is building a global network of stroke centres and stroke-ready hospitals, striving every day to increase the number of patients treated in the right hospitals and to enhance the quality of care for every stroke patient. Every 30 minutes, a stroke patient who could have been saved dies or is permanently disabled because they were treated in the wrong hospital. We are committed to making a positive change.

The WSO Angels Awards honour high-performing hospitals that consistently record and share critical data, aiding research and highlighting areas for improvement in stroke treatment.
