5 December 2025 marked an important milestone for Precious Hospitals. After 18 months of planning and construction, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim officiated at the launch of the Tunku Laksamana Johor Cancer Centre. This was not the end but rather the beginning of our mission towards delivering advanced cancer care in Johor, in support of all existing cancer care facilities. We will focus on niche areas such as nuclear medicine and build a cyclotron to make available short-lived radiophamaceuticals needed for precision medicine for all of Malaysia, south of the Klang Valley.

Precious Hospitals Sdn Bhd is pleased to announce the forthcoming launch of a Specialist Centre dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. With the consent and blessings of His Majesty, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, the Cancer Centre will be named in honour of the late Tunku Abdul Jalil ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Tunku Laksamana Johor, who passed away in 2015 after bravely battling liver cancer.

The Tunku Laksamana Johor Cancer Centre was built to fulfil his wish to alleviate the suffering of cancer patients and follows the earlier establishment of the Tunku Laksamana Johor Cancer Foundation, which has since its founding in 2015 provided financial assistance to patients in need.

Following this launch, a nuclear medicine centre and a 200-bed hospital will also be built at Larkin Sentral, a major transport hub and part of the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone.
