Since the big flood in December 2021, my sukun (breadfruit) hasn’t produced edible fruits. Alhamdulillaah this week got 2 fruits so I managed to have sukun goreng for Iftar today and have enough to make kerepek sukun, another favorite snack 😍.

From December 2025 harvest, did mangosteen puree. From the puree, made dehydrated mangosteen agar2 aka agar2 kering manggis. No artificial colors or flavors. One of my favorite traditional snacks albeit with a twist as traditionally food coloring and sometimes artificial flavoring is used. Important to dehydrate at the correct temperature range or else the sugars including the natural sugars present will caramelize and you won’t get the crispy sugar coat on the outside and firm jelly inside.

Love the deep red color of the fermented mangosteen probiotic. Should be ready in the near future 🤗.

Demarcation of one of the camp site. Our plan is to have 4 camp sites and one cabin chalet that can accommodate 6 people. As Sg Lui runs through my land, we plan to have wide steps to the river for easy access as well as somewhere you can sit by the river and enjoy sunrise or sunset. There will be bbq “pits” as well as a shared “kitchen” and not forgetting separate showers and toilets.

We pulled our own water pipes from the source up in the hills. We had a problem with a burst pipe and clogging in the pipes. Marzouq got to work with the staff to fix the pipeline and restore water supply to the farm. I am very happy that he is learning what needs to be done at the farm and has the ability to work alongside to do the necessary even though he is not quite 13 years old yet.❤️

The GM is very happy as he finally got to put fish in this pond. We had to cover it with net because they are jumpers. Should be with time, as they get used to it, they won’t jump anymore. What fishes did he select? 2 h/b gold arowana, 6 lampam merah and 6 jelawat merah. We’ll test with this first. I’m thinking of looking for plexiglass to create a cover so then we can enjoy the view.
