NOTICE OF 21ST ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2025

To all MAMP members,

On behalf of the committee members, I am pleased to invite all members to the 21st Annual General Meeting of Malaysian Association of Medical Physics. Details of the AGM as follow:

Date: 26th April 2025
Time: 10.00 am – 2.00 pm
Venue: Ezy Durian Cafe, Bangi, Selangor

The minutes of previous AGM-20 together with 2025 Secretary’s and Treasurer’s annual report will be email soon to all members.

Only members who attend the AGM can be nominated and vote in the election.

The Young Physicist Camp 2024 was organised by Pusat Perubatan USM Bertam, USM Medical Centre Bertam (PPUSMB) and A@Advanced Medical and Dental Institute, USM (IPPT) on 16 November 2024, in collaboration with the Pusat Sains Negara Cawangan Wilayah Utara (PSNCWU) and the Malaysian Association of Medical Physics (MAMP). The program was part of the Radiation Awareness Week celebration and aligned with this year’s International Day of Medical Physics (IDMP) theme, "Inspiring the Next Generation of Medical Physicists." The camp aimed to cultivate students’ interest in physics and its applications in medical diagnostics and treatment.

The activities of the program included Physics Explore Race & Demonstrations, Career Talks related to physics in medicine and ‘Science on Wheels’ Exhibition by PSNCWU. The event hosted 100 participants, including form 3, 4, 5 students, teachers, and members of the public from Seberang Perai Utara (SPU), Penang, and Sungai Petani, Kedah. The collaboration with MAMP and PSNCWU highlighted the event's interdisciplinary nature and has successfully fostered interest in medical physics while strengthening community engagement.
