📍Niurou Mian 牛肉面, Central Plaza 3rd floor (Go up by escalator, turn right)
The setup is very Japanese-style. Simple, clean, and feels just like home.
Besides their beef noodles, they also have sandwiches, waffles, and steamed / grilled buns. One unique thing about their noodles is that u can choose between hot or cold soup. I didn’t try the cold version though - I went with the traditional hot one.
Honestly, it didn’t give me a “WOW” factor, but it tasted very homey - just like eating at someone’s house, kind of vibe. Not rich enough to make u heaty. And, the soup wasn’t hot enough like those at ngiu chap shops.
Beef slices not bad, soft. Beef tendon - not tender enough. Ox tripe - I like mine with lightly chewy / springy texture, this was soft.
I added radish for RM3 and got 2 big pieces - portion wise it was quite satisfying! However the slight sourness of the radish did affect the overall taste a bit, but that’s quite normal since radish can turn slightly sour after being boiled with beef for a long time.
Kon lau mee not bad lah, though my friend said the texture of the noodles was too soft for her liking. The fried garlic was really tasty! Tambah aroma to the noodles. As for the blended chili.. don’t say I didn’t warn u la.. it’s super spicy!!! 🌶️ I only tried a tiny drop and my tongue was already on fire.
Oh, and did I mention? The lady boss is pretty ☺️
